I hope people managed to catch this Vicente vs Diaz fight!!! Boxrec had Vicente ranked #64 at 126 and Diaz #108, but you couldn't tell from the action. I actually had Diaz winning the 2nd and 3rd rounds, and since he landed the single best punch of the 1st round, he might have won that one as well. Vicente was clearly more polished, great timing of the fight-changing punch, but Diaz showed some good things too, great workrate, landed a TON, and was all over Vicente for the entire fight. Hopefully Diaz can be regularly active, think he could do some good things.

Round 1 Payano and Maraon mostly sizing each other up from distance. Payano more successful with counterpunching, also took more initiative, and Maraon missed most of his punches. Payano cut corner right eye, referee says punch, but it was head clash, Maraon hardly landed anything, don't see how ref missed that. Payano 1-0.

 

20-18 Payano

 

darker mexican is sharper is controlling the pace, the one in read is connecting every now and then with right hooks to the body but seems to have no rythem established I exspect he wont do well. Gotta make a run to the liquor store I expsect the darker one will win.
