It doesn't matter that it was originally scheduled for light middleweight. That was a middleweight contest. It doesn't officially go down as being in the division whose limit the participants were supposed to make. There's no such thing as "junior middle with an asterisk".

 

Now, in the main event that is a different scenario. Lopez made the featherweight limit, while Garcia didn't. So Garcia has lost his title on the scales and it's at stake for Lopez only. It's still officially a featherweight contest because Lopez came in under the limit and can still acquire the belt.

Had Lopez also come in heavy, neither would be eligible for the now-vacant belt and they would be engaging in a super featherweight contest.
