I am extremely impressed with Hughie Fury. He will become a champion, no doubt. He would knock Wilder out right now easily which is not saying much.............

Hughie Fury won a decision over Mrazek tonight

Seems like a talented kid, but not very bright. In the video below he all but admits that his fight vs Moses Motuvu was set up...

go to the 2 minute mark to hear it

Brits (and a few others) proclaim him a sure-fire champ, he's the real deal, he'll be champ at a younger age than the real Tyson ... but lord forbid you mention that he's fighting bums -- then it's "stop picking on the poor lad, he's only just 18, it's not fair."

    Can't have it both ways.

    no :patsch

but i won't be surprised if he snatches a couple of belts in the post-Wlad era, he seems like a legit prospect

no one is saying he will be a younger champ than Tyson,i posted a few pages back that the record will never be broken. It would be a big achievment if Hughie becomes British champion at 20 and an outstanding achievment if he becomes European champion let alone world champion.

Sometimes turning pro young is not the best strategy. Especially in a country with a solid if not strong amateur programme. The possibility of burnout is far more likely along other potential pitfalls that staying amateur for a handful of additional years would not arise.

If he is anything like his Cousin and I assume he is the additional time as an amateur would have furthur prepared him for success as a pro.

If Anthony Joshua had turned pro at 18 he would have already been kO'd.

All in all the kid looks good and certainly has a ton up upside. The U.K. really does have a nice HW scene with a bunch of good fighters. Should be interesting as it sorts itself out.

This thread is about him being a younger champ than Tyson.

Several people posting on this thread (and on the Brit forum) have said that he's going to be a younger champ than Mike Tyson.

BABY HUEY HIMSELF says he's going to be a younger champ than Tyson.

How do you conclude that "no one" is saying that?

I guess your not drunk. Back to your old self. Farmy just want to let you know I've enjoyed debating you these 15 years. You have not changed a bit. I remember you hyping Golota years ago. You always back the white fighters. Nothing wrong with that lol. You and Ivo always made a good team. Remember when we use to hang out on the Klitschkofans.com forum?

Been facing the usual type of hopeless HW cannonfodder, so it's impossible to say.. if it wasn't for the fact he's only 18 and has 0 exp, I wouldn't even talk about him.

He has potential, like a child can be taught to speak.
