I think it was just a mistake. To be fair, that job is harder than most appreciate. The commentators have to adjust how long they can talk before a bout according to a bunch of differant factors. Not only that, but they have the crowd cheering, people flashing cameras. Its probably pretty difficult to reel off stuff to say off the top of your head knowing that millions are watching while making sure everything comes eloquent and perfectly pronounced. I remember Gil Clancy always used to pronounce 'Strategy' as 'Stragedy' and he'd fumble for words but he was still one of my absolute favorite commentators. When you think about how difficult the job is it makes you appreciate what a brilliant pro Al Bernstein is. Although I think he has a tendancy to vastly exagerate the excitement ('Can you say Corrales-Castillo I!!!' during Froch-Johnson), I can't remember him ever stammering, confusing the two fighters, or even flubbing some trivial fact like the round in which one of the fighter's previous victory came or how many fights ago Fighter X split with Trainer Y on the advice of Manager Z.
