Still as high on Terrance Crawford?

He's not getting past Vasquez if they fight, at 140 the only one he can beat right now is Zab, Give him sometime and we will see.

 

I am not of that same opinion. I don't think Vasquez holds any mysteries for Crawford and I would venture to say he knocks Vasquez out.

He didn't make his pro debut against Prescott, you know. It wasn't even his TV debut, far from it actually. It was just his first time on HBO WCB - hardly the only boxing outlet there is.

Plenty of us were already well acquainted with him before that.

It's funny how even the HBO crew sort of fell into the same fallacy you did of thinking his performance against Prescott is "all you needed to know about Crawford" before last night. Roy Jones and Max Kellerman made lots of comments about how strange it was that Sanabria landed so much, because "Crawford is a very defensive boxer". :rofl NO HE ISN'T. He fought differently against Prescott than for the entire rest of his career before that.

Just goes to show that even knowledgeable and savvy longtime observers of the game like JG, Kellerman and RJJ can make ignorant mistakes, assuming that a minuscule sampling can write the book on a fighter.

 

I wasn't. Had never seen or heard of Crawford till he filled-in at the last moment against Prescott.

 

I really hope Broner gets knocked out some day. If Crawford did it that would be sick. :good

i thought he had good body punching and worked well behind his jab and was patient wsn't over aggressive.

i though he got hit a bit more than he should...but he is young and has time to tighten his D up....and his D isn't that bad either.

 

Young Terrence Crawford; Timothy Bradley has admitted whips him every time in serious sparing.He has the chops to clean out 135 and 140lbs weight class.I can see him in a few years or even sooner beefing up to full welterweight to clinically dispatch Devon Alexander and Keith Thurman.As he has the height,reach and skills to do so.Awesome talent indeed.Some have been bold enough to suggest he can beat Broner now!
