It has been a while since I've watched it but I really remember DLH not throwing the jab after a while and in his post fight interview being asked why he didn't jab and his response being "it just wasn't the night of the jab." I'm not sure if you watch the fights or go off punch stats, but clearly those watching and those in attendance noticed that DLH just stopped jabbing despite having earlier success with it. I'm also not sure why you're so upset at the notion of someone using a strategy to beat PBF. That's the point of this thread. I really believe someone can beat him by stealing rounds. Sticking and moving with jabs, steal rounds in the last 10 seconds by cutting off the ring and throwing flurries while he's against the ropes. Easier said than done, but with the right consistency and discipline, I can see someone winning by judges decision.
I agree DLH stopped jabbing in that fight. Not sure why but I feel he could have won if he would have used his jab the entire fight.
Only problem with that stealing rounds strategy is that Floyd is no idiot. You might steal one or two from him like that, but he can adjust to that as well. Like perhaps pouring it on up until about 30 and then getting on his bike for the last 30 seconds.
A well rounded fighter who is versatile and fairly athletic a fighter with punch variation good foot work and patience. Floyd adapts every round he can make adjustments, it takes a smart fighter to adapt as Floyd adapts like a chess player you wanna be the white pieces and have the initiative and the command Some guys fought like the white pieces, Mosley early, Cotto in the middle but ultimately Floyd took away what was working and put the fight in his favor and they couldnt adjust to gain the initiative back Cotto and Oscar had the right idea but ultimately neither had the gas tank as both really slowed down after the 8th and fell behind after great efforts, Oscar was in he fight on the cards

You can start by training for a fight against Floyd Mayweather and not for one against Pernell Whitaker.
That is a great point. This is why I love PBF. I never really watch him in hopes of a big KO anymore. I watch him to watch his mastery of boxing.
