Cleverly is a much better fighter than he gets credit for on this forum,he may not have fought the top guys but hes well capable of beating them if given the opportunity.

Kovalev obviously has great power which will cause Clev problems, but Nathans extremely high work rate will be tough for a lot of fighters to overcome.

lol 'Given the Opportunity' That's not the issue, the issue is he is happy to fight eastern european bums whilst all the time talking about super fights with the likes of hopkins which will never happen because him and Frank clearly don't want it. He has potential but he is a joke at the moment and deserves all the stick he gets.

that being said may be true, but he's never been past 7 rounds, is he able to keep it over the distance? meanwhile Cleverly, has proven that he keep up his workrate for 12 rounds many a time.

Very interesting match up to say the least, if it were to happen.

Yeah sure I highly doubt he doesn't want big pay days against top fighters, boxing is all about money and Nathan is in there too make as much as he can just like any other fighter. To say he doesn't want it is ******ed,yes his opponents have been a joke but you can't blame him for that he is badly promoted if anyone is to blame for his short comings its Frank ******.

    Don't be a mug

**** are you calling a mug lad? Your deluded if you think he has no choice in the matter? If he really wanted the fights he would be pushing for them or he would **** fish face off.

Like I said previously in this thread, met Clev at his last fight.. he's actually a top man, well came across that way anyway.

As for his old man though, he was there too and yeah you're right.

I'm calling you a mug you mug!!

And no he doesn't have a choice,he doesn't negotiate the fights that's Franks job.At the end if the day he can fight who Frank is able to put in front of him or he can move on and go to Matchroom like everyone else.

"Hearing that Sergey Kovalev will pursue a title shot against Nathan Cleverly, not the IBF-ordered mandatory against @THEREALBHOP"
