James Toney, Miguel Cotto, Roy Jones Jr, Vitali Klitschko and Shane Mosley

Maybe Zab Judah, Antonio Tarver and David Haye

Ideally just Toney and Jones would get in.

Toney, a complete fighter, yet still an underachiever. Quality wins against Nunn and McCallum supersede Hopkins entire MW tenure IMO, lacked focus and discipline often fought down to the level of his opponents. Exemplary skills displayed sporadically all the way upto HW against legit and lesser opponents. Would have been competitive in any era.

If you take roids, you can fight like RJJ, that's the logic - seriously.

Absolute shoe-in, a freak of nature with unparalleled athletic ability in the ring at his peak. Severely diminished version of him getting sent loopy by guys he would've annihilated in his heyday. MW -> HW, Cert ATG.

TKO6, another lock despite losing on paper to every single elite fighter he faced. Leading antagonist of the divisions Eastern Bloc takeover and despite injuries/setbacks -- the visual impact of him routinely dominating albeit uninspiring opposition with his unorthodox style will either be seen as the evolution or devolution and the ushering in of a new breed of HW. Balancing boxing with his political aspirations will probably aid his cause too.

Cotto and Mosley, similar to TKO6 lost their most important fights and fell short of being best in their generation. Delivered enough compelling footage against their peers to probably sneak it though. Props to Margarito for donating his chin to their resumes, both classic fights.

Froch, owner of an already vastly overrated record, if he somehow defeated Ward, then moved upto LHW and beat a legit guy there - I could see them letting him in on his second or third nomination. SMFH.

Haye has to defeat Wlad, defend against Vitali and/or defend against a few fringe Fury/Pulev level guys, then he'd get in. Won't happen.

Tarver, Zab and Chad only merit consideration if the Barry McGuigan rule is applied.

How has he been a dominant champion? Thats delusion in its purest form. He dominated nothing. He lost his two biggest fights. He's a belt holder only because he never fought the no.1 in his division. He has fought no high ranked opponents. NONE. Byrd deserves a place more than Vitali and Byrd isnt close either...........By the time the 4 years has past Vitali wont even be remembered. He's not even relevant right now.

Wladimir Klitschko is not on the list of boxers being discussed. You have issues and need help, because you keep bringing him up out of the blue everywhere. This is a full blown phobia and, if you don't get it under control, pretty soon you will be chasing strangers down the street, trying to convince them that Wlad is garbage, while wearing your night gown.

I wouldn't call that an obsessive focus, but rather being attentive. It's like when I drive and I see a driver doing something stupid, I notice it, more often than not being an asian woman. Same with topics on this forum, when someone writes something idiotic, it's usually you.

You make me cringe and pray for humanity with almost every post. Every point you make (and I am giving you the benefit of calling those hateful ramblings "points") has been refuted on multiple ocassions. Yet like a phoenix rising from the ashes, you continue to get up from the dirt and fling feces at Kbros in a desperate attempt for online vindication. You need help, and soon. Maybe you and Derrek can sign up for group therapy? This much hate for people who aren't an immediate part of your life could erode your immortal soul.

people who pick fighters that have been caught taking illegal substances shouldn't be allowed to call themselves boxing fans. you're just as big a ****ing disgrace as they are.

i don't agree with Dino on pretty much anything because he's someone with a clear head injury... but i agree with him here on the Vitali issue. Vitali IS a great fighter, but he's fought a load of trash. there were better fighters around for him to take on but chose instead to fight complete turkey's. his resume shouldn't allow for him to enter.

Only a small percentage of athletes taking PEDs actually get caught.

When you consider the lax testing and punishments in boxing, and the huge rewards on offer at highest level, it's likely that a large number of elite fighters are taking something they shouldn't.

It isn't the likes of Jones and Toney who are operating on an uneven playing field. It is the small number of their opponents who for whatever reason (principles or stupidity) choose to fight 100% clean.

stupidity??? :huh boxing should be clean! it's not about being stupid, it's about going to work in the right manner. those who are caught should be looked upon as weak minded cheats. that's all they are.

Americans are the ones who get caught taking substances. other fighters shouldn't be put in the same boat. claiming other fighters take PEDS without evidence is just trying to minimize what goes on in America. they're the ones with the problem. until other nations have a wide conviction rate, you shouldn't look at their careers with ideas that they are cheating.

Jones and Toney are cheats, plain and simple. don't make excuses for them. they took what they did, so they should be judged on what we know as fact.

i can't think of one fighter from the UK that would be cheating. they get tested properly. so do the Germans who have the best testing in the world.

unless you think otherwise? if that's the case, which fighters fall into the suspicious bracket for you? :think i think nearly all the UK fighters are clean.

Why the **** is Jones in this list? Not only is he a HOF, he's a top 50 ATG. Toney is a HOF too, and borderline ATG. Vitali, Cotto, and Mosley are sure fire HOF's, but not sure if they fall under ATG's..

    Tarver is 50/50

Clown's like Froch, Dawson, Judah, and Haye don't belong in the same discussion as those fighters above.

Tarver beat an ATG, was the lineal and undisputed champion on his weight class, and beat some top contenders.

Froch isn't even number 1 in his division, and lost his biggest fights.
