I respect that you want a clean sport with a level playing field, and I think any right-minded fan thinks the same. I just think it's being very naive about what happens in elite level sport around the world.

As far as I'm aware there are currently 8 UK boxers serving doping suspensions. Americans are clearly not the only ones cheating. However, if you were to suggest that it's a bigger problem in America than in Britain, I'd be fully on board with that. If you said that testing controls are better over here, again I'd agree with that. We also have a stronger anti-doping culture, in the sense that people caught are villified by the public to a much greater extent.

The thing I have issue with is any suggestion that doping doesn't happen in Britain, as this isn't supported by the evidence. Bearing mind that no testing methods are anywhere near 100% effective, it's safe to assume that there are more than just 8 UK boxers trying to get an um, "edge".

I'm not going to start making specific accusations without firm evidence. It's potentially libelous and pretty dumb, especially when this site features prominently on search engines if you type in "Boxer A" and "Steroids". I'd put money on Richie Woodhall being clean, and there's plenty of fighters who I'm ambivalent about. However, I'm very suspicious though about the fighters that a lot of other people are suspicious about. If you search around there's quite a few British fighters who have had the finger of suspicion pointed at them over the years.

For what it's worth, a friend of mine trained for a while in the camp of a British World Champion in the 90s, and says that there was some big-time juicing a-plenty. Feel free to treat that anecdote with the contempt normally given to internet hearsay, of course

i don't give a damn if Tarver beat an ATG. his resume is very thin on the ground after that win.

he was lineal, but so were fighters like Douglas, Baldimor, Forrest and Rahman. that doesn't make up for their short comings in other areas.

Froch's resume wipes Tarver's out of the water. depth actually means something you know.

when did Hearns become the man in the divisions he fought at?

when did Roy Jones become the man in the divisions he fought at?

Froch has lost two fights but gained revenge in one of those fights. so he's beaten everybody baring Ward.

Tarver hasn't achieved what Froch has. Tarver wasn't consistent. he was up and down all the time. so save that rubbish for someone else.

oh i know what goes on in world sport, i'm not naive to it. i just hate it. i just can't see our best guys doing anything. yeah, there's some, but these are way down the pecking order, or old used up fighters trying to climb back up the ladder.

8 boxers from the UK? i know about Enzo Mac, but he took one of those protein mixes that had something in it that was allowed only a few months beforehand. i know he should have stayed up to date about what he puts in his body, but i wouldn't go as far as to call him a cheat.

Dillon Whyte was a cheat. so no arguments there.

the African guy that Mcdermott beat. he's not British though. just based here.

was there something about Skelton a while back?

other than that i haven't heard of others that were caught. unless i've just forgotten.

this British fighter that your friend trained with, his initials weren't HH were they?

He beat the top 3 Light Heavyweights in his weight class, and beat 2 lineal champs in that division. Roy Jones is greater than anything in Froch's resume.

    Froch has
Bute= Overrated champion with the IBF strap
Pascal= overrated champion who got exposed by old man hopkins and was a weight below his best and wasn't even a champion yet.
Kessler= Was washed up and held a meaningless WBA belt when he beat him.
Taylor= Washed up ex champion a weight above his best in a fight where he was losing till the KO.

    Tarver has..
RJJ= p4p number 1 fighter at the time and lineal Light Heavyweight champion
Glen Johnshon= p4p number 8 at the time and lineal Light Heavyweight champion.
Montell Griffin= number 1 Light Heavyweight contender
Danny Green= number 4 Cruiserweight contender
Clinton Woods= reigning IBF Light Heavyweight champion

You say pascal,Kessler, bute and Taylor are either overrated or washed up and then add tarvers wins over green and woods

    Laughable comparisons
Frochs wins are always knocked, just look at who those 4 have beaten and lost to if you want evidence why there better wins
And Kessler and Taylor didn't look washed up to me

I hate it when people knock boxers victories as not significant

Tarver was never all that, and glen Johnson was p4p no 8 are you sure I don't remember that

Dan the moron knocks Froch because he's American and they like to do that to Brit fighters.

you'll get used to that being here.

    Toney
    Jones
    Klitschko
    Mosley

Cotto's borderline, but I'd still say no. The rest? As of right now, no way.

I voted for Froch & Cotto out of that list. In my opinion Toney, Jones jr, Mosely, & Klitschko's
are ruled out due to proven steroid abuse during their carers

Lol, huh? Bro, other than the abysmal statement that you made about Sugar Ray Leonard not being an ATG, I don't even know who the **** you are. Some dirty limey piece of **** gonna put me in his "**** list" and expect me or anyone to care? Lol, okay bro.

Thing is, I like Froch. He comes to fight, but the guy isn't even number 1 in his division, nor a top 5 ATG Super Middleweight which was created in the 80's and has been overall a shitty division where Euro's hid in because they couldn't beat Americans at Middleweight or Light Heavyweight.

The guy is just now cracking into the top 10 p4p list, and is gonna retire soon. Yet this is one of the top 5 ATG British fighters in the last 20 years.:lol::lol:
It's laughable and hilarious how bad British fighters are, it makes me wonder why they even watch boxing.

Green was a top contender at Cruiserweight and Woods was the reigning IBF Light Heavyweight champion.

Taylor got KO'd and got outboxed by slow plodder Kelly Pavlik a weight class below the Froch fight.. was almost 2 years removed from his prime, and only notable win before was damaged goods Jeff Lacy who even a shot Roy Jones beat after. And even then, he was beating Froch on the scorecards.. yet this is one of Froch's best wins?

Kessler was shot, hadn't beaten a top contender after he lost to Ward.. and was gifted a WBA belt.. Froch beats him, yet it's one of his best wins?

Bute is self explanatory. I'll just leave it at that.

Vitali only gets rated highly by being a nightmare in fantasty h2h matchups by fans.

He wont be judged by what he could of done and what he actually has acheived is not hall of fame worthy.
