Ali Bagautinov vs. Anton Bekishm, 4 rounds @ super featherweight

 

Bagautinov is making his transitional debut after having been a mixed martial artist - and it shows. His boxing technique is far worse, but he appears more powerful than Bekish.

 

To be honest the Belarusian is schooling the hometown powerhouse (who boasted a 10-2 record in MMA with 4 knockouts, yet is already going by the ring name "KO" :think)

There have been a few shaky moments for "The Android" when he lets the Moscow resident partially land that champagne-bottle-uncorking right of his, thrown from the apelike stance with his arms dragging. The cleanest and best work has belonged to Bekish, however. He won't get the decision, guaranteed.

 

These "stats" are completely laughable.

Massively inflated for the guy for whom this was a showcase.

...and now he is jumping around like a jackanape to celebrate.

Bekish doesn't mind, though - he takes it all in stride and gives Bagautinov a polite smile & nod and quick little manly hug. Classy dude, and he goes on my list of "favorite Euro journeymen in the lighter divisions". :yep

 

Yeah. Nice tilt, poor decision. (although I didn't understand the scores and therefore have no idea how bad it was...maybe 40-36 x3 :nut)

 

So if you render Rakhim Chakhkiev into Polish it's apparently "Rachim Czakijew".

That's got me wondering, how does Krzysztof Wlodarczyk look in Russian?

 

Yeah, the guy in blue? He countered the short bearded fellow in red pretty well in what I saw (missed the whole 1st, but from the early 2nd on...)

Bagautinov employed like a poor man's Darchinyan style. Very amateurish.

He did buzz the Belarusian a few times, however, so I can see where one might justify the result if only looking at raw aggression & "who got hurt more". (since even though he countered very cleanly Bekish never really got Bagautinov's respect)
