You're a dick if you think that. Yes he lost and put too much faith in his early round attacks. But he still gave it his all. Dude fought very well for a large part of the fight.

Wlodarczyk gives you the same look pretty much every time.

I questioned his timing and trigger-pulling ability based on recent performances, or else I wouldn't have been so confident picking Chakhkiev.

Now, in a rematch, with a re-tweaked game plan, what are Rakhim's chances of getting it done against this same version of Wlodarczyk?

I thought the rematch was only if Chakhkiev won.

Chakhiev seemed to gas out. Possibly his nose was broken just prior to the second (?) knock down from the headbutt. Cracking fight, should be a rematch.

This is like a runner leading the race by a great distance the first half to see him stopping because of exhaustion and never finishing the race. It's embarrassing in a pro ring and specially for a 12 round title fight.
His team should have known what stamina he has and have a game plan to use for 12 rounds ffs.

He dont has a chance against any current champion! Again I said it before the fight! Rakhim dont has the stamina!!! Also he is open as **** when he throws punches very easy to counter. If he cant keep his opponents at bay he will always have problems. Also there are now questions about his chin. I mean some of these KDs really didnt look very big. Especially the first one.

    Great shout.

Chakhkiev is obviously more technically skilled than Lemieux ever was, but he did gain a fearsome reputation before ever stepping up to world class and got found out when he did - making some of the same mistakes that ensnared Lemieux.

It came to similar guys, too - Rubio like Wlodarczyk is a veteran who never quite has broken into elite status but can prove a handful for anyone when at their best (remember, Wlodarczyk did prove his worth in Cunningham I and Palacios II...and Rubio has always been a tough out h2h even though he lacks Wlodarczyk's championship pedigree) and can absolutely give a babied prospect a rude awakening. :nod

Always wondered what the hoopla was about with Rakhim.

He is very set in his ways and I've always questioned his stamina, good to see Wloda exposed his weakness, now Rakhim will have to get to work on his stamina, or he's cursed.

Yeah but he can't be stupid enough to approach the rematch exactly the same way and waste that much energy so early with those bombs at that pace.

He does have talent, you know, and if applied more intelligently there's no reason to dismiss him as having no chance to secure a title - least of all from a guy he outfought 95% of their shared time in the ring.

The clause? Yeah. I'm not saying there will be a rematch, just talking about how it would go.

I'v been saying for a while i think Dmytro Kucher is probably the best CW prospect. Very complete boxer.

No he did not outfought Wlod for 95%. If you look at the fight you will see that Rakhim even gets slower after 5 rounds. In round 5 his punches were slower and his workrate dropped. Again he dont has stamina. It is not the question about a smart game plan. he just dont has a good stamina. Also I said he dont has a big fighting heart (A friend of mine knows somebody who is in Rakhims camp and he said he got dropped and hurt many times in sparring). So I was very sure that he will get stopped. Also Rakhim is very easy to counter. Open when he comes in. And when he gets tired it gets very easy to counter him. Also it seems that his chin is not very strong.
He is a good fighter. But he will ALWAYS struggle if he cant keep his opponents at bay.

    Can he go 12 rounds?

    I never saw him, tbh.
