I'm picking PM to upset AB tomorrow. Quick breakdown of the last 10 fights. PM last 10 opponents have a combined record of 305-22. Most notable names Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, Juan Diaz. AB last 10 opponents have a combined record of 278-33. Most notable names Antonio Demarco, Daniel Ponce De Leon, Jason Litzau. If we begin by looking at resume/competition we know that PM is definately the more experienced fighter. This is a step up for Broner but all the hype is clouding that aspect. Broner has NEVER gone 12 rounds and he has only seen the 10th round once. PM will take him into the deep water. I don't believe Broner will be able to stop PM. Broner is moving up two weight classes. While I won't put too much into it. I don't think it will help his speed. I don't think it will help his movement. When you have a fighter that has never gone 12; how will he react when he has to go 12 rounds with all the extra weight. AB is not dynamic when he comes to footwork so PM has the advantage when it comes to footwork. If you look at the guys that he has fought in his last 10 fights you see hardly any head or foot movement which allows AB to get in his wide stance and do what hes been doing. PM is not going to stand in front of him like a punching bag. Pauly is going to show him head and foot movement that he has not seen in the ring as of yet. I think PM's defensive skills are good enough to offset AB hand speed and power. Furthermore, if you look at the guys that PM has lost two they have different styles than Broner. Cotto at 140 was a killer that was when his left hook was on the money. PM fought with a broken orbital bone. Miguel used to stalk and cut off the ring. What he does is subtle and effective with great timing. AK has a different type of herky-jerky foot and hand speed. AB does not posses the foot speed of AK and AK throws punches in bunches. While AB throws less punches and has a wide foot stance. I think PM pulls the upset tomorrow. I will be in the building!
noway pm beats broner.. broner wont be tired from fighting 12 rounds because he won't be throwing that many punches, he'l spend most of his time tryin to walk down paulie which isn't all that tiring. ab may ko paulie, the weight thing is so wrong, you realise broner weighs 150+ and so does paulie?? how can weight play a role when they're the same size (ab is actualy slightly bigger but thats due to being shorter so slightly more filled out).. broner will be stronger at this weight i assure you.
It also makes me laugh how people say ab has slow feet... how does anyone even know this?? has anyone seen him actually fight in a way wheres he's trying to move quickly but can't due to slow feet ?? Floyd apparently slowed down too.. then guerrero found out it wasn't true. The fact is ab fights the way he trains to fight, i'm sure if he actually worked on footwork for specific fights etc.. he;d be fine. At the moment he hasn't had to worry about it. By the sound of things he actually enjoys fighting too, which is unlike floyd.
The fight will be interesting to see! Even though broner is moving up, he is the naturally bigger man! But paulie has a good boxing brain which will keep him in the fight
What makes you think that AB is going to walk down PM? This goes to my point of PM footwork. You are too used to seeing him against guys that are more stationary than PM and much smaller than him and that is why you have that impression. Because he has been stopping 130 lbrs he is now going to stop PM on the basis of what exactly?
Who said AB has slow feet? I said PM has an edge on foot speed advantage and that ABs wide stance is what prevents him from having a more dynamic foot speed which will be to Pauly's advantage. No one is talking about Floyd so keep Floyd out of the thread.
I put a $100 on Pauly who gives a F*ck about Vcash...lol You trying to bet me when you have no Vcash? lol
I see similar problems for Broner. However, I still think Broner wins a decision. Paulie can't crack an egg and I think Broner's power will be the difference in the fight. I also think Broner is faster than Paulie at this stage, even moving up in weight. Paulie I'm sure will land his jab on Broner and frustrate him early. But Broner will begin to time it with right hands over the top and they will catch the judges attention. Still I don't see him stopping Paulie for similar reasons you stated (two of Paulie's stoppages were BS corner stoppages, he went 12 with a in his prime beast Miguel Cotto). I don't have as much as you do on the fight but I did take Paulie at +750 (which is a joke) and a bigger bet on the over, which I think was a steal at -160.
The only problem is Malignaggi isn't capable of doing this! ***********.youtube.com/watch?v=GLOnVBx_yqc
Unless PM stands in front of Broner I don't see Brokers power being a factor in this fight at all. I agree that the odds were to good to pass up.
Man seriously...if you think Paulie has a snowballs chance in hell in this fight then obviously....ydksab!
nice post. the only problem is that gbp is grooming broner and not pauli so malignaggi will need to dominate 8-4 to get a decision win. and its not like broner has low activity and puali is going to outwork him. 61 ppr against demarco and pauli averaged 69 against cano with the majority of them being jabs. I think that there is a good chance that the fight is going to go the distance but even a greater chance of pauli being robbed if he were to somehow beat broner. keep in mind that glen Feldman is a judge who also gave the fight to cano at 109-118.
