Don't like the way David Haye's career has turned out

  1. Valuev Harrison and klitschko

3 attempts at moneymaking without being fully prepared for what came with it

He trash talked but ultimately embarrassed us with getting his toe out in front of the world,he couldn't take defeat like a man.i was a huge haye fan,I was hoping for Holyfield but got these 3 pressers and fights where the spark was gone

The chisora fight stunk of a set up to generate publicity

I'm not sure he really wanted vitali ever
He spread rumours he wanted pulev and picked charr
His career is more wwe showbiz than boxings spit and sawdust
When you look at the no frills macho men of Barrera pacquiao morales and Marquez it's just a tad embarrassing for me an ex haye fan,we had cooper and Bruno and others not as talented but willing to mix it with everybody and that's why they are treasured

David haye has become a pantomime

This is what is seriously pissing me off! The guy has talent, he has speed and power, he has charisma, he has skills! One of the UKs best talents at heavy arguably ever, if we are talking talent. He has the goods, could really have put British heavyweight boxing on the map, but he's really embarrassed us, and outside the UK he's probably seen as a bit of a joke now. That all doesn't matter to him, because he's laughed his way to the bank and so he's done well for himself, but he should also remember he was representative of British boxing and he's clearly not given a stuff about that.

Yes it's his career but we are paying good money to watch his fights and seems every time he leads us up the garden path and then disappears, then comes back and talks the talk again, and all is forgiven.

If he fades away again after he knocks out Fury, then it will put his latest PR charm offensive about giving it another title run, in to perspective. Yet another scam.

He is a dodger,he dodges the bigger challenges for lesser ones and tries to maximize his revenue through selling his fights for 15 quid a pop to morons like yourself then blames his pinky toe when he loses.I mean who the **** blames a loss in the biggest fight if your life on your pinky toe, certainly not a fighter.Oh he went to France and Germany and beat two robots Mormeck and Valuev.Shame he's done nothing else since and yet still demands ppv revenue on the back of fighting once every two years.

I stand by what I said he is not a fighter, his heart isn't in the sport and if you can't see that your well and truly blind.

    Steve Cunningham
    Marco Huck
    Mormeck
    Macaranelli

In that order were the top guys at Cruiser,Haye only fought two of them and yet people say he cleaned out the division. He had two meaningful fights there and then milked his way into a shot at the heavyweight title.

He was the consensus #1 at CW though. But I have to agree, he was never even "undisputed" and he sure as hell didn't clean out the division.
Like said, that takes a lot more as just 2 titlefights (or 3 if you count the IBO bid).

Haye then just used the Brits and part of US desperation to get rid of the Klitschko dominance over the division and said he would clean out the division. In wich he actually meant "taking out the trash" and surrendering as soon as he actually shared the ring with a Klit, only all in business man style for as much money possible.

He just took the easy route and played the desperate fans for fools while doing it.

European Cruiserweight Champion is a fantastic achievement.

Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion Of The World is a fantastic achievement.

WBA Heavyweight Champion Of The World is a fantastic achievement.

I think he has done very well.

Amir Khan - I think he was 21 and his ko was significantly worse.

Still, alot of credit must go to how he bounced back from that defeat. I remember how many wrote him off after that.

He did do well but he had the talent to do a hell of alot more, that's why we are being critical of him.Hes milked whatever success hes had into big money fights that turned out to be complete failures.

Carl Froch is a good example of this fought the top contenders in his divison some in their 'back yards' and still people say his style this, he was lucky, he fought a past his prime.... an so on.

Both Froch and Haye turned pro in 2002, both held belts and up until recently Haye was seen publicly as the bigger star surrounded by all the hype and stardom but Froch has done it the hard way and will leave a legacy when he retires.

Haye has got to be carefull because in ten or so years time when theres one of these programs looking back at british boxing all they will show of Haye is him wearing a daft t-shirt and standing on a table with his toe out missing the fact of him unifiying the cruiserwieght divison which was a great achievement and would be a shame.

I do like Haye but I feel as if all this inactivity and domestic money earners will do him no favours, only to his pocket. Its not as if he's got a 0 to loose on his record get the Charr fight back on, fight Povetkin and get one of the Klitscho's and if all goes well some title defences that he is capable of. People will still pick holes in the record but atleast he would have fought the best around at the time. I don't think his ego has got over the Wladimir fight yet but it best do and quickly or the career will just fade away at this rate.

I'm sure as he sits there in his **** off mansion bathing in 50 quid notes he will really be concerned by what a bunch of keyboard warriors think of him.

    You have that one right.

Booth and Haye have maximised their earning potential to its full extent, what on earth is wrong with that.

Name a more successful British partnership? there aren't many.

Mormeck was widely regarded as number 1 in the divison and had been for a while he beat him in his b ackyard.
