Garcia rematched Morales because it was under contract and he didn't have a choice, no one wanted to see that fight, not even Garcia.

If it was a weak division with no notable challengers, you could sell this on the back of the last few rounds of the first fight. With Matthysse on the horizon, it would be a huge disappointment.

Its no team garcia. Its Goldwn Boy. The Matthysse fight makes no sense buisness wise. But I have a feelinh that Maidana knows how to beat Matthysse. And Judah-Garcia ll is 50/50 to me.

If Judah Garcia II happens next, it's not proof that Garcia is ducking Matthysse. 147 is stacked. There are so many potential matchups involving Maidana, Khan, Matthysse, Garcia, even possibly Floyd. The list goes on and on. And yeah sure Matthysse vs Garcia would be an interesting fight. But let that fight marinate for a while. I don't think there's any point in Judah rematching Matthysse. He already squeaked out a decision against him, and that seems like a long time ago. Judah Garcia is fresh in our memory now, and I believe that now is the time for a Judah Garcia rematch. if you wait too long, that fight might lose its sizzle and never happen. As far as Matthysse's next fight, well why not fight Amir Khan?

Isn't Maidana the mandatory for the winner of Broner vs Malignaggi? I say let Judah vs Garcia rematch again, and let Khan take on Matthysse. And then the winners could fight. Obviously 147 is stacked, and we'll have a clearler picture of the division after tonight. But I still think Judah vs Garcia II could be a great fight and Matthysse vs Khan could be interesting too. There's always the chance for Khan Garcia II down the road or Garcia Matthysse. This is about matchmaking and styles make fights. You have a good storyline in the Judah vs Garcia fight. Matthysse vs Garcia would be intersting, don't get me wrong, but it might not be as entertaining as Garcia vs Judah or Khan. Simply due to the drama of Judah and Khan having good technical skill but also at times vulnerable.

I would be highly disappointed if Matthysse vs Garcia doesn't happen next. I'll be even more disappointed if Garcia fights Zab (win or lose), and then decides to move up to 147 lbs. Matthysse deserves his shot. All his recent fights have been on Showtime, so he does have a bigger fan base now than a year ago. Of all the fights that could fall through, this is one I don't want to see go down the drain.

Nah. We've seen both Garcia-Judah, and Garcia-Khan. Both were definitive wins, although Judah looked good in the last few rounds.

Garcia-Matthysse features the 2 current raging beasts of the division. It's all in house. It should be easy to get it done.

As for Khan, if there is 1 guy from the class of 140 his team would not want him to face, it wojld be Matthysse. He is everything they don't want as an opponent.

#1 the world would not be turned upside down. Garcia is no Mayweather.
#2 its a pointless fight. Garcia won very clearly and should be moving up the ladder and not staying in 1 place while his division rivals are fighting relevant fights.
