Breaking News. Beibut Shumenov finds missing glove!

WBA Light-Heavy champ Beibut Shumenov has found a boxing glove lost in a freak house tidying accident last year. He has had to put his career on hold while searching for the missing pair - but yesterday found one of the gloves behind the sofa.

Sadly, he will be unable to return to the ring until he finds the other glove. So, for now, his boxing career remains in limbo. He claims to have searched his entire house over the last 11 months, and is at a complete loss.

Hopefully the second glove will turn up within the next year or so, or else Mr Shumenov (29) of Kazakhstan may have to consider abandoning his boxing aspirations. Good luck, Beibut!

There has been a critical new development in the ongoing Beibut Shumenov lost glove saga- a BBN exclusive, first reported on the 22.6.13.

Following advice from family and friends, Beibut (29) of Kazakhstan, the WBA Light-Heavyweight champion, has finally decided to change the focus of the search for his lost glove.

Shumenov's career has stalled since losing his boxing gloves in July 2012, shortly after defending his title against tough challenger Enrique Ornelas.

In an exciting turn of events, Mr Shumenov found one of the gloves one day ago, but his jubilation was short-lived when he discovered that the other one of the pair could not be located nearby.

In his desperation to resume his career, BBN investigators have discovered that Beibut has embarked on a radical new approach. Despite the scepticism of his coach and promoters, Shumenov has instigated a thorough search of his garden, even (according to unsubstantiated rumours) employing a famed local dowser.
