never understand seeing people moan about sky not showing 'friday fight nights' i remember my dad watching this and at the time it put me off boxing.. i much prefer knowing sure there may be 2 weeks with no boxing on but then 2 weeks of top shows on. Also its break time for boxing or most anyways

I left Sky this week. Far too expensive for the lack of quality, not just boxing as I watch a lot of football too - BT is the way to go.
I don't believe streams will all be taken down either.

I would say that a great proportion of the Boxnation overseas fights would get picked up by Primetime/BT/Sky if the channel didn't exist. Question marks still remain over the viability of the channel long term.

I disagree, the majority wouldn't get shown.

    The German cards would disappear.

Cards such as Rios/Alvarado Bradley/Prov and Garcia/JML wouldn't have been picked up.

GBP shows might have a chance with Sky but thats about it.

  7. Agree with the above.

Hopefully BT will turn the sports viewing upside down and end the monopoly of Sky. Subscribers have been shafted increasingly year by year by being forced to pay more to watch less.

Can see BT being a big player in many sports including boxing

Will have to stream this one then. Happy with that though as not going to pay £58 or whatever it is just for the one fight and a couple of others.
All the other channels are crap and no better than what you can get on Freeview.
No footy in August either - it just isn't worth the money they're asking.

The sooner boxing fans realise that boxing isn't really a mainstream sport the better.

I don't understand people like you who come on boxing forums (we are all die hard fans on here aren't you - well from your posts clearly not) and spend your time knocking the game, slating a boxing channel that has been set up for the fans to watch our sport (ours - the fans, not you arm chair pundit) which we pay a tenner a month for aka next to nothing and all you do is slate it non stop. Well what channel were you watching last night because Sky have no interest in boxing apart from the sole supplier they have gone with. These worldwide fights would not be 'picked up' as you so arrogantly claim (like your Barney Francis - which I very much doubt you are). The fact is if you are going with that angle only football in this country is a mainstream sport and possibly F1.

I am a realist, you are a fantasist. That's the major difference.

I am a sports fan, not just a boxing fan and I see the wider picture. Some of you need to open your eyes and realise where boxing stands in the grand scheme of things.

Sooner you do that the better.

BTW, please show me where I said the worldwide fights would be 'picked up'?
