Am I the only one here who agrees with 117-111?

So 2 of the rounds that you scored in favor of Paulie's pitter patter, (because that's what it was. After round 4 or 5, he hardly ever committed to his offense, most of the time it was merely to deter Broner)........So you couldn't see 2 of those rounds going to Broner?

    I had it 116-112 btw.

I actually think it is different. To give 7 rounds to Paulie is completely inconceivable. That judge should never work another boxing match again.

No 116-112 at least, but no arguments with 117-111, the only rounds I scored for Paulie, were rounds 1,2,4 and I stopped scoring after 10 because the fight was one sided and Paulie was spent. These guys hate Broner too much to be objective. Broner absorbs lots of punches on his arms, elbows, shoulders that is his defensive style but casual fans somehow count those as scoring punches. Go figure.

The thing is that you could put together a highlight reel of Broner's shots in this fight. He only stunned him a couple times and never had him hurt but there were at least 1-2 shots in every round where Paulie's head snapped back. To me that is a LOT more significant than a jab that grazes you.

I honestly believe over the course of the fight Paulie landed more shots (either to the body or the head). Less accurate, but still landed more than Broner who was very inactive a lot of the time and seems to have been credited with more punches than he threw.

Not enough for PM to win the fight when you consider the limited effect of his punches, but I definitely thought he was landing more.

Activity matters as well and for me, Broner simply took too many rounds off and let Malignaggi outwork him. You can't win a round by covering up 80% of the time and then throwing a handfull of powerpunches. And the punchstats seemed way off, btw.

Just because they're not showy, all of those punches on the arms 'n elbows should be scored.

This should probably have been a draw - Broner let too many rounds slip between his fingers and he really needs a wake-up call. Against better opposition (and neutral judges) he can't just defend 80% of the time and try to steal rounds by throwing a handful of powerpunches.

Your math all is well and good but boxing is scored based on individual rounds not on final statistics. #BoxingScoring101

Ummmm, actually no. Those are not landed punches. Those are blocked punches. I think that the unprecedented level of hate around here for Broner (it seems to even surpass Floyd) has made people actually see something that wasnt there. I'm all for calling out compubox when they're wrong, but good lord, it's like you didnt watch the fight. Sweetpea made the crucial point, and that's that Broners defense causes a lot of punches to glance of the arms, elbows and shoulders and not land. I feel like a lot of you are counting those as landed shots.

Compubox stats are just two Guys pressing buttons - and this is not the first fight where they have seemed way off.

117-111 is a bit too wide. I had it 115-113 for Broner. A case could be made that he won 8 out of 12 rounds (116-112).

You know what, I shoulda said this on page one, but everyone post your scorecard. I want to see what rounds people had for Paulie. IB had round 10 for him in addition to 1,2 and 4 (which nobody is disputing), what about you all?

Huh? More like what significant shot did Paulie land? And I ask this as a Broner critic
