I enjoyed the eb and flow of the fight, but wasnt the shin/knee to paulies knee an instant, clear point deduction? And adrien was warned for hitting on the break multiple times...could have changed the outcome of an already close fight (on 2 scorecards atleast)
if i was refereeing, i would have already warned broner about following my instructions way before the fouls. that may have stopped the fouls from occurring in the first place, if they didnt, i would have deducted a point for the kick and for the elbow.
Yeah I think should have been a point deduction, but it's an uncommon thing and there's no rule in the book that says a knee is an automatic point deduction. It was up to the referee, but I don't think anyone would have complained had Broner got taken away a point.
The kick was pretty sketchy and I think it would have warranted an immediate point deduction IF Paulie hadn't grabbed and lifted on his leg before the kick could have even been thought of.
I need to watch the replay of the fight to see the fouls. I originally thought broner kicked paulie, but I need to see the leg lift. Where was the elbow everyone's referring to?
He definitely lifted the leg right into Paulie's junk. Pretty blatantly too. He elbow came as a round, possibly the net one came to an end.
Kidney punches every opportunity he got. Ref warned him once after he had done it multiple times. Even broners corner was saying at the end of one of the early round he needs to chop down with the right and use the kidney punch. It was a definite plan. If he tries that dirty **** with matthysse or maidana they're going to give it back, including rabbit punches andnlow blows.
Anyone remember Ike Ibeabuchi punching the snot out of Chris Byrd? Byrd was turning to the ref and complaining while Ike hammered him wth clean direct blows to the face. Thats how I envision Broner going down, complaining while getting bombarded with clean direct blows! :|
