I mentioned several things there, not just style:

* Paulie could be improved from those fights.
* Paulie might have been better prepared or had a better game plan
* He might have been more motivated fighting in Brooklyn (which is different than fighting in NYC in Madison Square Garden for a guy who grew up in Brooklyn
* Paulie is surely better, and more sturdy, at 147 than 140

Style-wise, who knows. Could be that Broner had more trouble ad******g (EDIT: there's some auto*** thing on here -- the word is adjust-ing) to Paulie's speed than those 140-pounders did. Hatton, a pressure fighter, is more accustomed to walking down someone who is moving laterally. Khan, at that time especially, was a very good fighter and his suspect chin wasn't going to be exploited by Paulie.

I just don't think those kind of comparisons work: Fighter A lost to B and C and fighter D didn't beat A as convincingly as B and C did doesn't mean Fighter D isn't better than B and C.

I agree. That was a good version of Hatton that night. Hatton wasn't shot until he got KFTO by Pacquiao and entered a bottomless dark despair.

Ricky Hatton was shot to ****? Not even shot, but 'shot to ****'? When did that happen? Presumably then he was already shot before the floyd fight when he was undefeated, cause no fighter gets 'shot to ****' overnight. Im interested in your opinion here.

And i ultimately agree with what youre trying to say about Broner, but when you make stupid statements like that, you tend to lose heaps of credibility.

Broner struggled with Paulie because it was the first time in 23 fights that he was outweighed by his opponent on fight night. Broner will look worse and worse as they start having him fight 140 and 147-pounders. He's used to a 10-15lb+ weight advantage at lightweight. That's the equivalent of Ortiz and Chavez at 147 and 160. Imagine what would happen if Ortiz (165) fought Alvarez (170) or if Chavez (185) fought Ward (190). That's sort of what you just saw, except the bigger man in this fight is known as a non-puncher.
