    Mitchell v Banks 2...

I heard many people saying this fight was a fix, so i watched the fight.

The knockdown was a rabbit punch but not intentional as banks was already falling forwards because of the upper cut, it was more of an off balance knockdown.

Although both fighters started cautiously, look at the third round, banks was actually trying to get Mitchell out of there, one thing i notice from Mitchell, he put his guard up, really tried to clinch, this was some what effective, however if you watch the end of the third round mitchells legs just went, he had to hang on to the ropes, he could not stand without holding the ropes,

Further he used the jab more, Banks was very cautious, but if you watch banks other fights he doesn't throw much even in those fights, he only brings the heat when he knows he has his opponent seriously hurt, I don't think it was a fix .

Mitchell had to take the storm at times and did well sticking to his plan, although somewhat boring as he was more cautious than usual.

Mitchell had many chances to finish off Banks, both fighters hurt each other, but did not commit as feared getting countered

I personally think Mitchell should take some easy fights, not have a long lay off, fight again keep himself busy so he can get used to fighting in the ring, but not take a good opponent yet.

he should try to fight 3 to 4 times this year, fighting easy guys, and stepping up slowly, fight guys that can challenge him but have no power, so he can implement his craft, if he fights anyone top 20 i think he will lose.

He still looks a bit stiff, needs to be more loose, and get his confidence back, but this win does a load of good for Mitchell.

Good Win for Mitchell it takes heart to fight rematch immediately,

Well when is he going to step up against a good opponent then?

He's touted himself as a world level HW for how many years now? We've heard how he was going to dethrone the brothers before too.

He'll have one or two lower level fights then get fed to Wlad IMO.

There is one thing I like about Mitchell, and it may have a lot to do with his footbal experience. But he could be very effective at getting on the inside and pushing his opponent back, smothering everything they have. It seemed like Banks could not get out of this, and I wonder if anyone really could. Mitchell needs to work on his inside game though (which is quite frankly, horrible).

I thought Mitchell did what he needed to do to win. Mitchell was too cautious at times because he knew too well how the first fight ended. And it almost happened again. Sometimes you just need to get over a mental block and I hope that's what it was for Mitchell. Still not convinced Seth can beat any of the top European HWs, let alone the Klits.

Not really sure where Mitchell goes from here he clearly isn't what HBO tried to make him out to be and was reluctant to engage last night as was Banks. Mitchell is a good guy just not a fighter. He alone should put an end to this ridiculous "all the good Heavyweights are in the NFL" argument.

Not sure what GBP can really do with him next they can feed him some cans and try and get him a Klitschko fight which shouldn't be sanctioned. He just beat Banks who was #2 in the WBC but even 42 year old Vitali wrecks him.

Again why is it ok for Wlad to fight like a ***** but if Mitchell does it he isn't a good fighter? Did you watch Wlad Klitschko vs Darnell Williamsom? Was Wlad aggressive ? No but you people act like he is a boxing God now because he faces a bunch of nobodies who can't punch and who are alot smaller than him.
