    This wasnt a walk in the park for Bika and Periban impressed me a lot last night, he was a lot cleaner with his punching and his chin is pure iron to be taking shots like that over and over, true mexican heart. this fight went pretty much how i expected with the clashing of heads but Periban surprised me and showed a lot of grit and determination

    But at the end of the day Bika deserved not only the win but also the world championship belt, he fought hard his entire career to overcome a lot of setbacks including a close decision against Ward and the DQ loss to Mendy but finally he got exactly what he deserved and best of all can hold his head high when he finally decides to retire

    Sakio Bika has now opened a lot of doors for himself

    Carl Froch - WBC/WBA/IBF Unification mega fight in the UK
    Mikkel Kessler - Excellent first defense of his title
    George Groves - Now the number one mandatory
    Andre Ward 2 - has a lot more pull to get Ward out of his backyard
    James Degale - WBC Silver Champion / Former Gold Medalist
    Thomas Oosthuzien - WBC/IBO unification
    Robert Stielglitz - WBO/WBC Unification
    Denis Grachev / Edwin Rodriguez - Winner of the "super 4" tournament
    Gennady Golovkin - WBA Middleweight champion
    Sergio Martinez - WBC Middleweight champion
    Adonis Stevenson - WBC Light Heavyweight champion
    Nathan Cleverly - WBO Light Heavyweight champion
    Bernard Hopkins - IBF Light Heavyweight champion
    Andre Dirrell - not really interested but wouldnt complain

    I will be disapointed if he doesnt fight at least one of these guys next, plenty to choose from

    Lots of good fights for Bika out there, but Id like to see if he could beat the "broken" Bute that beat him worse than anyone else did.

    If Bute grabbed that title, it would essentially force Ward to take the fight and finally get his shlt pushed in by the best, Luscious Lucian Bute

    I'd like to see the rematch with Periban, despite his bitching after the fight. Fight could hae easily gone the other way.

    You are right Bika has plenty of options but this does show how weak this era is and that fighters who couldnt have competed in yesterdays era are now top dogs

    Calzaghe beat Bika :lol: who is being touted 2 of the potential fighters on the list he could meet in Hopkins, and Kessler.

    Bika is one of the top 5 in his division, along with Ward, Froch, Kessler and Bute.

    Bika is the only top SMW that Carl Froch hasn't faced yet. I'd like to see that fight. Bika gave Andre Ward his toughest fight to date, so he would probably do the same to Carl.

    I want to see Jaidon Cordrington put aside his copper's job for a while and rematch Bika.

    Their first one was a great fight.

    Don't think much of Bika . His opposition is pretty bad . Hopkins would batter him .

    I mentioned nothing about Bika? The fighters on the list under Bika are far better than the guys from Joe's era.

    Pretty sure Hopkins, Bika and Kessler were from Joe's era considering he beat them and all :huh

    The guys of 168-175 are a lot more competitive thats for sure but there were some damn good fighters in Joe's era too

    Charles Brewer and Byron Mitchell were good fighters in their prime, not to mention Hopkins and Jones were back then too

    :rofl It would be miracle if Bute won more than 2 rounds...
    I got to thank Carl Froch once again for showing that Bute was never the best not even top 3 in division:yep
