paulis face essentially looked no different before the fight than after against broner who was nowhere close to securing a knockdown.

Pointing out a fighters accuracy is grasping at straws? Have you ever watched a boxing match before? Broner landed 51% of his power shots. That is VERY good accuracy, especially considering how many of those 51% landed absolutely dead on point. Broner's accuracy is probably the single biggest reason he is a special fighter.

I won't even comment on Cano LOL. He failed how? He won the fight 9 rounds to 3 or 8 to 4 clearly. 7-5 Broners even a little too close of a score card, and 115-113 Malignaggi means you should never judge a fight again.

Fighter A beating Fighter B better then Fighter C beating fighter B doesn't mean Fighter A is better then fighter C. Did those other 3 beat Malignaggi more impressively? Yes, but that means nothing in the scheme of things. Floyd struggled with Castillo both times to some extent, when Corrales TKOd him the first time in round 10 and Hatton KO'd Castillo in round 4. Does that translate to Hatton being a better fighter? Obviously not.

 

Paulie's chin is also pretty damn close to legendary in boxing. The guys been down twice in his whole career. He had a bad night against Cano, but Paulie's a good fighter with an iron beard. For Broner to KO him would've been unprecedented.
