I'm sorry Broner should stay away from Lucas at this moment. We are talking about a guy who has a great chin, power on both hands, works the opponents body well when he fights. All things that Broner should be very cautious because not only in the Paulie fight but in his previous bouts Broner has shown he is hitable.

 

I love how the Broner fanboys are turning Paulie into some world beater. Before the fight you guys said Broner would knock him out in 6 or less. Well he went to a close decision with the weakest title holder at ww. How does it feel?

 

I said the guy has no jab, and the stats reflect that. Landing under 20% of your jabs in every fight I could find stats for is pretty bad. Broner landed 30% last night, 19% against Rees, 32% against Demarco, 44% against Escobedo, 20% against Perez and 24% against Rodriguez. That is clear cut better then Matthyse, despite Matthyse doing it against better competition Broner's worst night with the jab was better than Mathtyse's best.

 

So you are saying Broner had better success with the jab than Matthysse against weaker competition? Makes sense

It was poor writing on my part. I meant to say that I acknowledge the weaker competition of Broner, but that being said the punch stats prove my point in spite of the weaker competition.

 

In real life Matthyse's 34-2 (and the Alexander loss was legitimate) and Broner 27-0. You mean the Alexander fight where he landed 15 jabs in 12 rounds at a 9% accuracy rate?

 

Go watch the 7th round he was dominating Devon with boxing skills.
