    No.

The guy ducked no one, and won titles at numerous weights.

How the fvck can he be over rated?

You think the Gonzalez fight was something special? SMH.

Gonzalez barely scraped by Lamar Murphy. Lamar Murphy. Most people thought he lost that fight. He could only manage a draw against a washed up Chavez. My friend, Gonzalez was not that good. A decent paper champ at best.

Tito did look inept that night but his strategy worked. He applied serious pressure, worked the body when he could and by the 8th/9th, Oscar was gassed. And the last thing you want to be is gassed against Felix Trinidad. Which is why Oscar began running. Had he not ran, he might have been stopped; something he admitted years later.

    :deal Spot on!

His losses are often seen as accomplishments. No other fighter gets that kind of clemency.

DLH is getting a little underrated IMO. Below 147 he was close to unbeatable, at 147 his resume consist of Chavez, Quartey, and Whitaker. He was robbed of a very terrific win in Trinidad, longest welterweight reign ever and Oscar schooled him. Also he fought pretty much everybody, gotta be a plus.

Nothing special, but generally overlooked (as above).

He had a bad night against Murphy, but he was still the same guy who had stopped Mendy and Leavander Johnson and was on a lot of p4p lists. Before the Murphy fight anyway.

How can he be a paper champ when he was generally regarded as the best fighter at 135 for most of his title reign? Both Mendy and Johnson went onto win titles after losing to Gonzalez. MAG wasn't a great fighter by any means, but he was a good, solid champion.

The common theme with Molina, Ruelas, Hernandez, Leija and Gonzalez was that they were respected titlists, who with the exception of Molina were dominated by De La Hoya. It was an impressive sequence of victories, that tends to get overlooked by people who focus too much on his career at welter.

I think it's worth people revisiting the Ruelas and Leija fights to see how devastating he could be at his peak weight. Obviously the quality of his opposition improved at 147, but that wasn't the only factor. Quite simily he was a better fighter at 135-140.

He was the most over rated of this generation......Trinidad, Hopkins, Mosely, Pacquiao and Mayweather all beat him yet he became and remained the most marketable.

ridiculous, ODLH is a proper ATG fighter.

James Toney is more overrated as a fighter, for example.
