something new about the Matthysse vs Garcia fight ?

The illogical side of me would be absolutely infuriated if a rematch comes off between Garcia and Zab. Truth is Zab did put on quite a valiant effort towards the end of the fight and it looked as if he would close the show with a bang. Of course you only have 12 rounds to get it done and well he let the opportunity pass him by. I'm not a huge fan of the uses Zab's win vs Lucas as justification for bypassing a battle with Garcia but it does hold some weight. I admit I'd rather see Lucas vs Garcia battle it out but ya'll are acting like Garcia just smashed Zab and that book should be closed, ya'll are also acting as if Zab did not get the win vs Lucas.....facts are facts and I think a bit subjectivity is just what the doctor ordered.

Matthysse beat the crap out of Judah, had Judah crawling around on the canvas, if not for the ref helping Judah he would have lose by knockout. A rematch with Matthysse? Matthysse by knockout and I mean he would knock Judah out cold. The winner of the Matthysse/Peterson fight was guaranteed a fight with Garcia. Garcia does not want to fight Matthysse and will do anything to get out of that fight, watch and see. Matthysse by knockout!!! Garcia knows it to.........

Now Matthysse knows that if he dont K.O cold or stops his opponent he won't get the win. Then, in the Alexander and Zab fights Lucas did enough to win those fights by MD/UD but he got robbed. Now its a different story with Lucas cuz he's a better fighter and he goes only for the kill/K.O in his fights. :yep

 

Even Garcias fans want no part of Matthysse and are screaming for the Judah rematch - 'Unfinished business'

Better be careful what u wish for... Judah worked Danny out towards the end of the fight started applying pressure and coming forward, Danny looked uncomfortable fighting a southpaw on the backfoot. Zab stops him in a rematch.

 

This matchup needs to happen. I've been loving the matchups made at 140 for the past year or 2, a lot of the top fighters in that division are fighting each other and it's a beautiful thing for boxing to see good, competitive fighters decide to fight each other.

This matchup has the potential to be a FOY candidate. Obviously everyone knows about Lucas' power, but it'll be interesting to see how good of a chin he really has, because at some point in the fight Garcia is going to catch him with one of those violent hooks. This could be a helluva fight for however long it lasts.

 

Matthysse didn't get robbed against Zab.


He lost a close decision. Some of you emotional fans should learn the difference. As much as you want to declare it, Matthysse isn't undefeated.
