no matter how much you cry its not going to make a difference as the catchweight is what it is.

also, canelito is probably not going to do 152 anyway so you need to move on.

I mean, youre going to sit here and cry and bit-ch about these two pounds for the next three months and then on 9/13 canelito comes in at 154 and then what are you going to do?

ask for a refund from canelito for all the money you wasted on tissue paper?

If 2 pounds is nothing why Floyd asked for 152 ?

Floyd's not scared. He's stepping up to fight the guy. He might be wearing the shades so he can check Canelo out without Leonard seeing. But he's definitely not scared.

He is being financially honest though, it's not direct but very clear nevertheless. In the end, Mayweather is all about paychecks and securing as much money as possible in his work field. He's doing what everyone successful does in their lives and jobs. It's a war of positions out there and if you think playing fair in war works then think again. He was in a very similar position facing DLH, he was pretty much dictated to in every aspect of that fight. Money, gloves, venue, weight, ring size and whatever else I'm missing. He had to eat crow, literally, and fight through it to be in this position. Whoever wants to follow has to do the same or find another opponent no one will give a damn about. In the end, he's not doing anything he hasn't gone through and to those that dislike it, don't watch the fight.

No one scared would step into that ring and literally risk his very life and existence overnight. They would rather serve cheap pastas in the local fast food caravan you dictate with relish and pride.

It's not clever, though, becuase he comes off as a hyprocrit to the fans based on his past statements and his dishonesty over who needed the catchweight. He's not doing what everyone successful does in their lives and jobs. He flaunts his money, he tries to short change Canelo and make him work off 2 pounds because of what DLH did to him. Working men and women don't conduct themselves in such a way. When he fought DLH, DLH chose the gloves, the venue, the ring size, everything, and he's now taking that out on Canelo. He feels he's justified because of what DLH did to him. But there was no catch weight for the DLH fight, so he's going one further. In the DC press conference FMJ chanted "hard work, hard work, TMT, TMT".

He is doing something he never had to go through. He never was forced to drain himself two pounds below the weight limit because another fighter wouldn't fight unless he had that. It's not that I dislike, it's the fact that Floyd is being dishonest with the fans. When asked about the catch weight, he was talking out of ass something about how Canelo came to him with the catch weight. That's not what happened and it says a lot about Mayweather. Personally, I think it gives Canelo extra incentive to put on a great fight for the fans at whatever weight he decides to come into. For a 154 lb unification fight where both guys hold 154 lb titles, both fighters should be focused on making the 154 lb limit, no BS. FMJ should have just taken on Canelo like a man with no catchweight BS. he said catch weights are meaningless, and you know what, FMJ was right, I agreed with him. That's why I'm having trouble supporting him now.

It's not that he's scared in the ring. The ring is where he performs, where he is comfortable. Once he's in the ring, you can't have fear as a boxer. on fight night, Mayweather does the business and he's great at what he does. Mayweather is a technician and at times even a warrior in the ring. But, putting in the catchweight shows that there is something about Canelo that worries him, so he has to do something to weaken or make it tougher on Canelo. He didn't request it when he fought at 154 before, he even criticized Pacquiao for doing it to Cotto, but now that changed. I think he's more scared of answering questions about the catch weight then he is of fighting Canelo, because that puts his character into question.
