Watched broner vs paulie again in detail

That never really meant anything. Perhaps the most banal of boxing's many overused aphorisms.

 

Paulie was hitting arms, elbows, and back the majority of the time. Completely disagree and the evidence is on film. Paulie was not landing.

 

Malignaggi's shots did land on the arms and elbows a lot, but he also landed some good, flush punches too. I particularly remember him landing left hooks to the body that slipped in just under Broner's arm. He also landed jabs through Broner's guard, both to the head and body. Most of the landed punches were on Broner's hips and ribs.

That being said, I thought Broner deserved to win. He didn't have a good start, but he picked his activity up after a few rounds and started landing better punches. Some of the late rounds were close. I thought Malignaggi won at least four rounds, possibly five. I didn't think it was close enough for a draw, but it was a competitive fight.

 

I hate that saying, I had it a draw but I gave paulie a couple breaks in 2 close rounds. so as fas as I can see it 116-112 could be as wide as you could have it.

you still post??? I had it a draw BUT I admit that I gave paulie round 12 when looking back I give it to broner now. I always thought my 114-114 was a bit of a stretch, 115-113 paulie is kind of a bad score. not redic or anything
on par with 117-111 though.

 

Adrien Broner kicked Paulie's ass all over the ring and the fight was not close.

 

I had the same: Anywhere from 115-113, to 113-115.

Broner never hurt Paulie, and Paulie MASSIVELY out-pointed him. There is no question that Paulie won rounds 1-5. Nothing to even argue there, unless you want to prove that YDKSAB.

After that, it gets pretty murky, with Paulie tiring a bit and Broner scoring a decent amount.

I think a lot of idiots got swayed by Broner's big smile. All that meant is that he was hurt, and was pretending not to be. (A very common thing, in case you're new to the sport. :roll If Paulie's shots weren't stinging Broner, then why didn't he just move in & win by an early KO?

i thought Pauile won 5 rounds. maybe even a draw because Broner wasnt swinging back. but i dont see 7 rounds for Pauile
