Lol so did he go from prime to shot over one fight? Because if not, and if it was a gradual decline, then you must be saying that Mayweather fought a past prime Hatton?

I've never heard either of these scenario's being supported before, by expert commentary or by amateur.

 

What would it have to do with it? Because Paulie is stronger, and a harder hitter than Broner's natural weight can usually deal with? I like him a great deal, but Paulie hits like an average junior lightweight and hasnt seemed stronger than anyone he's fought, ever.

Weight divisions are there to separate fighters with different natural strength and power capacities, and punch resistance. No matter how you wanna cut it, Paulie simply is not physically stronger or more powerful than Broner or an average fighter of Broner's weight.

 

Broner thought it was gonna be a push over. Nothing to do with his talent (which is undeniable) but his ego. This clown thought he made it before he actually has.

 

Btw khan did not easily beat a prime paulie. He fought a pass prime paulie who was struggling to make 140 pounds which is why after that fight he moved up to ww. Paulie wasnt shot at all when broner beat him. If paulie was a shot fighter, he wouldnt beat the same fighter that tko a shot hatton who once again retired.

 

What does Paulie's punching power have anything to do with it? Did you see Broner getting backed up or stunned by Paulie's shots? No, the obvious "step up" for Broner is in fighting a guy with an iron chin (only been down twice in his career, never KO'd) who was 2 weight classes above what he was used to.

Again, anyone who actually watched the fight and wasn't hating knows that Broner won it 8-4/9-3. This was not a "struggle", it was a semi competitive fight but at no point other than the first 2 rounds did Broner look to be losing the fight. From rounds 5-12 Broner chased Paulie around the ring, hit him with 50% of his power shots and didn't even come close to losing a round besides a round 10 that was close-ish. Hometown scoring doesn't change how the fight actually went (don't forget that the guy who scored it 115-113 for Paulie was one of the guys who screwed Cano over against Paulie).

 

if someone tries to use the underestimated excuse or theyre going to be disappointed if they bet on broner in the future at 140 or 147.

his fight was as bad as canelito against mosley(alvarez showed the ability to fight through a cut).

at least shane had some swelling whereas pauli had virtually none after absorbing 50+ percent of broners power shots and proven to have been previously beaten down by hatton, cotto, khan and knocked down by b-level cano.

there is pretty much nothing good that you can take away for broners performance agasint pauli and making matters worse having his hair combed after that pitiful performance.

shot would be mosley, Sergio, dawson, josesitio lopez, juanma and khan(no punch resistance).
