Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (21-0, 15KOs) admits that he wants, and deserves, more money in a financial split with former two division champion David Haye (26-2, 24KOs). Discussions to make the fight continue. Haye offered Fury a 50-50 split, but Fury countered with an 80-20 demand. Fury says there is room to negotiate the split, but he refuses to sign off on any deal where Haye receives an equal share or more money than him. If Haye does not agree to Fury's demands by the end of this month, then Fury will move on.

"I did say that [I want an 80-20 split], because Haye is a has-been and I'm what's in fashion at the moment. What's in fashion needs the lion's share of things more than a has-been. We got a deadline at the end of month and either he signs the contract or Team Fury moves on. But there is nobody that I would like to beat up more than David Haye. There is room for negotiation there, and if the fight is going to happen I'm sure we can come to some sort of an agreement," Fury said to Sky Sports News.

"In this fight with David Haye, I genuinely don't like the fella. I think he's arrogant, I think he thinks he's everything. But really he's just a pumped up cruiserweight who hasn't fought anybody."

Fury is proving himself to be one of the biggest duckers in the game (esp going on his trashtalking). First Price, then Pulev, now Haye it seems.

If Haye offered 50-50 then it shows he wants the fight (easy money lets be honest) and Fury shows he doesn't.

Just because he is on Channel 5 beating smaller men makes him the star.

Price, Pulev, Haye. Bad pattern showing.

Blatant duck, he's lucky to be even getting 50-50 with Haye, where does he get the idea that he is worth more?

    He's pulling yer legs.

The fact he appeared on SSN confirms to me the fight is signed, he's talking as if it already has been.

He even said "there's room for negotiation".

How long have they been in talks? Do you think talks would have gone on this long if Tyson was really demanding 80/20. Haye would have just kept his date with Charr and gone after the Klits.

Have a day off guys. The fight is on.

    The fights signed IMHO.

Fury being on Sky Sports News is a sign things are agreed. All part of the hype..

Fury is hustling Haye by asking for 80/20 then Haye offering 50/50 as normally guys will jump at 60/40 offers from Haye just to fight him. Haye likes to control negotiations and likes to control the build up and Fury is playing mind games with him IMO.

I feel the fight will be signed in next 2 weeks..

Fury has turned himself into a sideshow freak of boxing, I can't take him seriously as a contender anymore. Can't believe after all his talk he's now ducked price, pulev and haye. Will be embarassed for boxing if he ever wins a world title.

  12. Would not be rushing to buy tickets for this as I could see an injury appearing similar to the Charr farce.

I hope this is him building the fight otherwise he is really deluded. I do think Fury deserves at least 40% though, this fight is bigger in Britain than a Haye/Wlad rematch and Tyson deserves to be compensated well, especially as he's more likely to end up on his back than Bree Olson.

I have no problem at all with what tyson is doing.

Haye needs Fury much more than vice versa, fury is a 24 year old heavyweight who has another 5 years at least before he peaks, is clearly not the finished article. Yet he he is expected to take a career defining fight now!

Who else is is Haye gonna generate ppv dollar with?? Why do we think Haye is prepared to take 50-50 with a guy he clearly feels is beneath him?? Its because Haye is desperate for the fight and Furys people know it.

Haye has been a part timer for some years now while Tyson has been through some decent fighters and some decent fights.Bollocks to Haye, he says himself it will be easy money so if thats the case take a pay cut, 40% from a fury beatdown is about 300% more than Charr on sky. Plus part timers should be on partial pay any how;)

If fury is pricing himself out then good luck to him.

    Fight is probably on so.
