It Appears That Danny Garcia Will Give Up A Title Rather Than Fight Matthysse

    Matthysse was guaranteed a fight with Danny Garcia if he beat Dallas, so he knocked Dallas out in the very first round. Then Matthysse did not get the fight with Garcia, so they guaranteed Matthysse a fight with Garcia if he were to beat Peterson. Matthysse stopped Peterson easily. Yet, it appears as if Matthysse will never get a fight with anyone period. It was a fight I wanted to see. However, Garcia is extremely afraid, most saw the fear in his eyes, so I don't want to see Garcia fight again. Rather than fight Matthysse Garcia will give up one of his titles, this appears to be the picture. Notice that Peterson's title was not on the line, but Matthysse's was. So now, even thought Matthysse knocked Peterson out, Peterson is the champion. This is crooked boxing at it's worst! If a Matthysse Vs. Garcia fight happens, I will consider a miracle.................Everyone wants to see that fight, but it will not happen. Danny "El Pollo" Garcia, the chicken champ. Rumors are that Garcia will fight Judah in a rematch, breaking a guaranteed fight for Matthysse. Matthysse is the real champ. Matthysse will never get Broner into a ring either...................

    Yes, I have never seen so much fear on a boxer's face than I did when I saw Garcia after Matthysse stopped Peterson!!! I have zero respect for Garcia, never want to see him fight again......................

    Damn, Garcia was my dude, but what the hell man...

    Matthyse better get Broner next then. He deserves some pay for the entertainment value that he brings to the sport.

    Garcia fighting Judah again seems pretty backwards to me, even if you don't want to fight Lucas Matthyse, there's so many other fighters in the 140 lb division. Defend the title, Karim Mayfield called him out, Adrien Broner wants his belt.

    My point is that there are plenty of other fighters in the 140 pound division of which Garcia claims supremacy to. Some of those fighters are even calling him out.

    If Garcia doesn't take this fight, I hope the boxing public crucify him.

    This will probably mean that Matthysse's next fight will be for the full WBC belt, whoever he fights.
    And if you take a look at the WBC rankings that will be either Postol (Ukraine), or even more likely the unknown Silver "champ" Robert Ortiz (Mexico).

    Shame fights like this wont come off very often anymore, but we already saw this one coming when we saw the look on Danny's face at the Peterson fight. :-(

    If Matthysse was smart he should of looked weak against Peterson.

    Just like Rigo done to lull Donaire into a flase sense of security.
