Billy YOU told everyone on here you wanted Ricky to fight Abril or Vasquez.

Instead you have put him in with a fighter who is clearly not on their level. Anyone who listened to Hearn's interview today would also know that he considers Crolla a serious option if he shocked Ree's. What a farce.

You are taking the **** out of your followers. You had the chance to set up a huge fight in September but took the easy option.

You constantly talk **** about other boxers stating you think Ricky would beat them, yet you refuse to step up and put him up against the best.

Still, you carrying on fleecing Ricky's fans. What a wonderful man you are.

Well said, couldn't agree more. Although its not the fight that a lot of people wanted to see happen (including myself), its still a good fight for the reasons posted above. Lets not be to quick to judge Hearn's choice for Ricky, it may turn out to be a good one. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, maybe in a few fights time people will be looking back saying it was the right choice of fight at the right time. :think

 

Check my earlier posts on this thread about the fight and I did say Ricky had a bad night but showed heart to dig deep to come through a difficult night. Never found out what was in the brown paper bag seen near the Gonzalez corner though!!!!!!!!

Due to loss of profile outside Glasgow, Ricky Burns is way down the list in boxing conversations now after failing to step up to fight the best after a great night against Martinez.

There is no point in you coming on a forum if you cannot take banter or discuss opposite opinions even when some valid points are raised. The abuse has probably went too far but it is ****s like Ginger Warrior that started it by abusing people for expressing an opinion.

Don't know anybody who dislikes Ricky Burns and people are entitled to express disappointment at choice of opponents when you amongst others have talked about fighting Broner and unifying titles.

Fans reasonably expect these fights 3 years and 8 fights (assuming the Beltran fight happens) after the Martinez fight.

Billy made a comment, 1 on how Broner looked ****. He also stated a few times he believes Ricky would beat him when the whole issue over 'ducking' was first mentioned. How does 1 fans opinion lead to constant baiting?

Its you and Hayemaker, constantly going on about Broner to Billy, asking him time after time about it. Its childish to be honest, move on, the rest of the world has.

As for Beltran, im disappointed, i wanted Abril or Vasquez. I know a few people are thinking the winner of Rees/Crolla will be next, id be surprised as Eddie hasnt mentioned this seriously and Billy doesnt want the fight.

 

The abuse went too far because yourself and Solaris took it too far, throwing insults into every sentence when you could have debated and made a point like adults. As for Ginger Warrior, he made a joke about Curtis and you havent let it go since, saying he is abusing posters etc, well honestly from an outsiders view, he was talking to you in a far less derogatory way in which you and Solaris have spoke to people. What do you expect, all airs and graces?

I see this one similar to the Katsidis fight against a solid come forward fighter infact the 2 records are very similar both 28 with 6 losses each . Think people are being too harsh on here it's been a good time to be a Scottish boxing fan with Burns reign as champ .I'm not dissapointed .Wanted Abril or Vazquez .Still would like to see one of these 2 before Crawford think it would be a good move for Burns career. He'd be fired right up .
