Is Toney the most shot fighter out there at the moment? Considering how good he was like. I don't recall seeing a current active fighter as shot as Toney is at the moment. I wouldn't watch him fight now if I was getting payed, sad really. He was a class act!

This is acceptable considering the fact that Toney will NOT retire.

I support any ATG doing a bum of the month club if it will help them earn a steady income.

I read an off hand comment from someone that Toney would earn 40k for this fight. Fighting a no hoper once a month for a couple of years would gross James a million.

Do that and earn a retirement fund.

    I will support it.

Making matter worse, this fight is at 6,400 feet. Toney should have retired after the Batchelder fight. You would think he could make decent money as a trainer, maybe assisting Roach. But, when your whole identity is wrapped up in being a warrior, it is tough to give that up.

I love James and know he's just a shell of his former self. He never reached his full potential but he's done amazing things in this sport all things considered.

I agree with you....as long as his health doesn't deteriorate and he's being fed guys like this....why not? He's got money but he wants to bank some paper for his life after boxing.

****, what has toney done to the boxing authorities? They must want to see him spaghetify his brain into a drooling vegitative state. who ever gave him a licence to carry on fighting must really hate him

Well hopefully he will eventually see sense to retire soon and actually have a life after boxing before he deteriorates even further. Sad that he feels he needs to do this. I'd love to see him get brutally KO'd by a bum if it makes him wake up an smell the coffee and get out. He no longer belongs in boxing when he turns up in that kind of shape. He is a former great...but never was great at heavyweight as all he ever was is a FAT middleweight. That gut he has hanging over his shorts these days tells me he fights on for his cheesburger fund only. Why did he squander all his money? Or is he just plain greedy??
