How do people see this going? I feel like Gavin by stoppage the bookies are giving a generous 11/2 on that the price makes me think i must be missing something. I like Denton Vassell but his aggressive style seems all wrong for a guy like Gavin.
Yeah maybe but i have a feeling Gavin will be able to land quite a bit during this fight i dont really envision a once punch knockout more of a ref waving it off in the late rounds
Gavin all the way. A Rees/Gavin double was paying just over evens with Hills earlier. I trebled it on two slips with football bets to make it 2 & 3 /1 respectably. Due a bloody win so here's hoping.
I really like this fight with a great mixture of styles and talent. I'm backing Frankie on points fairly wide.
I think it'll be a lot closer than the bookies and some of you are saying. Just my opinion, though, and I quite rate Denton. I agree with them that it's unlikely Gavin will stop Denton, though.
I reckon denton might edge the opening round but the class will tell as the fight goes on. Denton was a half decent amateur aswell i hear and won an aba's at under 69kg so he has decent pedigree, frankie will have to be at the top of his game to win.
Can't see frankie stopping Denton unless he cuts him up but I see frankie coming through some tough spots to win on points
If Gavin has his stamina in order it's his on points. Vassell will put in a good showing though and I imagine it will be relatively close on the cards.
I like Denton Vassell as a person and fighter, and he's a good solid fighter, but boxing is about levels, and for me he is at his, where as Frankie Gavin hasn't really shown his potential and for that reason I'm picking Gavin, he's got more to give.
i agree with this i think denton may take the first two and have a good period between 8,7,9 but gavin gets through in the end. I will say one thing if frankie hasnt improved since the witter fight he will be in trouble though
if Gavin can stop Vassell building any pressure then he should win it fairly wide but if Vassell starts getting to him and landing power shots consistantly it will be interesting to see how Frankie copes. Looking forward to it A lot of frankies biggest supporters have said he will look his best against someone coming to punch and take the fight to him - maybe this is the first chance we get at someone with a good dig and decent skills to test that teory - i just wonder if frankies lack of a big puch might be a big factor in this Anyone know and approx time they will be in the ring?
