it would of been career suicide to fight Roy Jones was the words of Eubank Senior but what would of actaully went down if they boxed at super-middle?

would have been an excellent fight imo, Eubank has a granite chin and wouldn't have left himself open to being countered by Jones. Eubank was charismatic and when it came to fighting in the trenches and fighting in adversity he was outstanding. I'd have backed Jones to have beaten Eubank by outpointing him on the outside but I think Eubank was one of the few fighters who could have stylistically troubled Jones and given him a much closer fight than his peers.

Basically what Eubanks would have had going for him would have been that A. He's not a quitter and B. He's very intelligent. It's not like Eubanks would have gone in there just doing his regular thing believing that doing so would bring him the win, Eubanks would have brought with him a good gameplan and maybe won 1 out of 10 times or so. Or maybe done something intelligent like Mike Tyson did and gotten himself Dq'ed.

Jones would have out pointed him, but would have got out of the ring in a right mess and wouldn't want a rematch

Lopsided points decision to Jones in a dull fight is by far the most likely outcome. Eubank was troubled with speed and movement by fighters nowhere near Jones' level (Sherry, Close, Schommer), and the chances of him landing one of his looping overhand rights is pretty slim.

Against fighters he respected, prime Jones was more than happy to fight within himself and cruise to a points win. Eubank's only realistic chance is if Jones opens up for a stoppage and gets caught coming in.

This would have been a real good match up. eubank was very tough and had his great right hand that when landing flush could do all kinds of damage. Include Eubanks iron chin, amazing boxing ability and massive heart.

Jones had great speed, but Eubank wasnt slow in his prime.

Tough fight to call, but I could see it going into the trenches at some point, where Eubank could go, and then see Chris coming out on top once that happens. Tough fight for both

They should start a separate forum for ***gy fantasy threads like this. Ali vs Tyson? Ah well, you know Tyson's got the KO power but Ali's got the handspeed...Who cares?

Who dies first, Roy Jones or Eubank?
