Yes, yes. Without going into much detail that played a part as well.

Proksa admitted it himself before the fight, should he lose, he knows he is finished as a contender, it was all or nothing for him, he just didn't look like he wanted it enough, i guess sitting in the bank must be easier than getting into a ring to fight

To be fair, Mora is a tough assignment. Mora had a significant reach and size advantage here and is a really a handful for anyone. Proksa was out-sized more then anything. I think he wanted it plenty, he just couldn't handle Mora. he couldn't outbox Mora because of the reach, and he tried to go inside and got tagged.

I think tonight was the best version of Mora we've seen since the Calvin Green fight. He looked comfortable in there. Against Mosley, he had to drain himself to make 154. But at 160, he can get a lot done. Really he just needs the chance to fight in a big fight. it's been a long road from the contender to now, I say give Mora a shot, see what he can do against the best at middleweight.

Proksa fought well looked very strong, very fast, but unfortunately for him he faced an experienced veteran who many thought was done. Proksa will always be exciting to watch, just needs to adjust to different styles because he seems to fight the same way always. Mora by no means a power puncher or even in his prime yet he almost tko'd Proksa. Mora was the better fighter Proksa is physically a top fighter, but Proksa has almost no inside game. He doesn't know how to infight. Maybe has better chance at 154.

He'll probably get a shot against one of the belt holders. I thought he looked decent but he still has the issue of getting off to a slow start and needs to let his hands go more in general. A more disciplined fighter is going to come in with the general gameplan of being busy against Mora(a la Vera), because Sergio is not the most active fighter, particularly early in a fight. He's never really changed his style to fix that issue.

i'm not taking anything away from Mora, congrats to him, looks like he will get his title shot in the near future, because last night he proved he can still be a tough challenge for anyone at 160

i agree at the 154 bit, Proksa is too small to fight at 160, he is no Sergio Martinez when it comes to speed and footwork, but most of the guys he faces are bigger than him, 154 might not be a bad idea

In layman's terms I'd say Sylvester had a pretty dicey career already. He didn't necessarily have consistency in his showings before. Past his prime he became slower, more careful, Proksa was hungry and confident back then. He was undefeated. He felt at the top of his game. That wasn't there tonight.

I also think Sylvester was very unlucky with that big ass cut. You dont see These cuts very often from a Punch. Looked more like a cut from a head butt.
And yes. Sylvester was never that Special to begin with. never had the heart to leave everything in the ring so I never got why People hyped Proksa for that win.
