A typical fan would believe that Joe could in fact have beaten Godzilla, because he could adapt to any style, and he had a fantastic engine, which would have allowed him to slap Godzilla down to size, with over 1000 slaps per round.

When Hopkins and Jones were unifying at 160 and 175, Joe was fighting in one of the weakest divisions in boxing.

While the likes of Jones, Hopkins and Toney were clowning fighters such as Tito, Ruiz and Jirov, Joe was fighting Veit, Ashira, and Sobot.

While the likes of Jones, Hopkins and Toney were testing themselves against good fighters, Joe was laying on the canvas after a knockdown by Sugar Ray Salem, and struggling with Robin Reid.

When the likes of Jones, Hopkins and Toney were relaxing on their lawn chairs after a hard days training, Joe was sprinting out of his door at that count of 2, after he'd realised that the mailman had dropped off his new passport that his Mum had ordered him.

While the likes of Jones, Hopkins and Toney were trash talking and creating excitement fighting other great fighters, Joe was washing Frank W's car for a bit of extra pocket money, until a huge WBO fight got made.

While the likes of Hopkins were fighting in front of millions, Joe was trying to put a show on at the local ice rink.

When Jones, Hopkins and Toney were fighting other good fighters in their own Country, Joe was pretending to find his his lost passport, even though he'd thrown it away.

When the dust had settled at 175, and Hopkins had lost twice to Taylor, and was 43, Calzaghe obtained a new passport, miraculously overcame his fear of flying, and finally decided to move up in weight, even though he'd been starving himself to make 168 for 4 years. Even though his own Father thought that he'd lost, and he scraped the win by the skin of his teeth, he proclaimed himself as "The legend Killer" then made it clear that he didn't do rematches.

When Roy was 9 weeks from being 40, and it was more than 4 years after Tarver and Johnson had knocked him out, Joe finally had the balls to fight the man he'd hid from all of his career, and who he'd dismissed twice leading up to the fight. Even though many experts had Joe to win, due to the fact that Roy hadn't won at elite level for 5 years, Joe thought he was actually in the ring with the 1994 James Toney version of Roy.

While Jones and Toney continue to fight like the proud warriors that they are, Joe dances badly on tv and sniffs lines of coke.

Lets's be honest, there's nothing much to love. His ugly slapping style, his reluctance to fight the best, his reluctance to leave Frank, his fruitcake fans trying to convince people he'd have troubled a prime Roy, even though he struggled with Reid.

Mentally challenged patients at the Newbridge nut house are always going to love him, and that will never change. The team ******s will continue to receive their medication, and all roads will continue to not lead back to Calslappy.

Calzaghes record would be a lot stronger if he had taken Froch's O. He was British at the time and was as popular as Tony Bellew is now.

But you're wrong about Joe ruining Carl if he won Banger, all wrong.

What happened when he was beaten by Ward? He totally changed his style to a more aggressive , brawler who looked to blast away his opponent.
So if Joe did win , he would of only uncaged that beast from within a lot sooner.
Froch has mental strenght and determination that cant be thought, Joey boys slaps would of had no lasting effect.

Why would you say that? Toney won his 168 title off Barkley, bare in mind this came after Benn had tko'd Barkley in one round and after shot, former lightweight Roberto Duran had also beaten Barkley.

After the Barkley fight, this was Toneys run as 168 champion before losing to Jones

- ricky thomas 11-9-1

- glen thomas 24-1-0

- danny garcia 25-9-0

- larry prather 10-10-0

- tony thornton 35-5-1

- anthony hembrick 27-4-1

- tim littles 24-0-0

Bare in mind that even before this horrific run of opponent, Toney had only managed split decision wins over sosa and Johnson, been given a gift against Dave Tiberi and Drawn with Sanderline Williams.

The one excellent win on Toneys record was Micheal Nunn, though I had Toney way behind on the scorecards going into the 11th.

Joe's record would have been stronger if he'd have got on a plane earlier in his career, instead of frequently getting lost with Enzo in their hired pedalo somewhere off of Cardigan Bay, on route to The U.S.

The reason I dislike Calzaghe is the same reason why I disliked Jones, he had so much ability in the ring but never reached his full potential, not all his fault to be fair but he still failed to achieve all that he could have.

I used to be a Calzaghe fan, first saw him beat Delaney and followed his career closely but lost interest round 2004-2005 when he went 2 years fighting guys like Ashira, Viet and Salem.

At that time I felt he was throwing away his career and after watching him dominate one of my favourite fighters in Eubank, when he won the title I had real high hopes for him. Calzaghe has everything, speed, power (before his hand problems), boxing skills, iron chin, great stamina. His only weaknesses as a fighter was his technique was sloppy and he wasn't to hard to hit especially with the right hand.

Guys like Hatton even Froch would kill for the natural talent Calzaghe had, they did the best with their meager natural gifts looking for the best possible fights while Calzaghe wasted his prime years and his ambition only matched his talent during the 3 last years of his career.

When the likes of Jones, Hopkins, and Toney were showing zero adaptability against the likes of Tarver, Taylor, and Tiberi etc, Calzaghe was showing supreme adaptability against the likes of Robin Reid and Kessler

When the likes of Jones, Hopkins, and Toney were folding like lawn chairs when faced with adversity, Calzaghe was getting up at the count of 2 and immediately facing fire with fire, no holding, just rising to the occasion in the heat of the battle when it mattered most.

When the likes of Jones, Hopkins, and Foney were busy trash talking and insulting opponents with shear arrogance and racism, Calzaghe remained down to earth, true to his roots and showed respect for all opponents.

When the likes of Hopkins were stinking the arena's out, feigning injuries and trying to rob fight fans of their hard earned money by getting bouts called off mid-fight, Calzaghe was busy trying to put a show on for the fans, wanting to have a tare up with every opponent.

When Jones, Hopkins, and Toney were fighting in their backyard, Calzaghe was wanting to fight Hopkins in 2002 on foreign soil only for the cowardly Hopkins to be turning down a record payday.

When the dust was settled at 175 and Hopkins was the king of the division, Calzaghe moved up weight, and despite fighting on foreign soil, with corrupt judges, and the corrupt Joe Cortez refereeing, Calzaghe simultaneously became the main man at 168 and 175 by literallty butt-f**king racist crybaby Hopkins in his own backyard sandwiched inbetween the most impressive winning streak of Hopkins entire career.

When Jones was granted the opportunity to fight the new king at 175, many experts throughout the world of boxing predicted that Jones would beat Calzaghe due to Joes fragile hands not having sufficient power to further shatter Roys glass jaw. What we got instead was a boxing exhibition from Calzaghe, clearly demonstrating a far superior skillset.

When Jones and Toney continue boxing to this day, mumbling in their speech and not having a pot to **** in, Calzaghe is happily retired, a wealthy man with all his faculties in tact.

Lets be honest, there is so much to hate, the bitterness, the envy, the jealousy of fanboys trying to throw stones at their idol's master because no one was ever good enough to do their talking in the ring with Joe Calzaghe.

Delusional haterz are gonna hate but the facts will never ever change. Team Elite will continue to educate blinkered fanboys, all roads will always lead to Joe Calzaghe.

A simple question to the idiots who quote what Calzaghe has said before and after fights. Can that trio of garbage Hopkins, Jones Jr, and Toney even do joined up speaking between their combined IQ of 50.
