Don't think he can survive...let alone win.

Not to start as quickly as he did against Sturm (although I felt he won that fight). I feel he'll look to use the high guard once more, he can't afford to be reckless as he'll get picked apart by GGG but if he can get constantly put sustained pressure onto Golovkin and take the fight into the latter rounds then I feel that's his best chance - Macklin has a good engine that's for sure.

Macklin will definitely come to fight, as he always does.

Box like he did vs SM for 4 rounds then guage his options. If he goes past 6 then GGG (who is a beast kets be frank) may struggle with lack of championship rounds. A win for Matt is not beyond the realms....

Will there be lots of Brit 'n Irish fans raising the roof for him at the fight; the way they did for Hatton?

No where near the following Hatton had, but I imagine he'll have good support behind him tonight.

What wouldya think of this strategy for Macklin, F:

To batter 3 G's fists with his head till he can't lift them.

Agreed. I think it goes into the later rounds. GGG power will be evident, but it will take a bit longer to break Mack down as he is a bigger middleweight and has a solid chin.

I love watching GGG cut the ring off without chasing. He conserves so much energy that way.

Any boxer has a chance, but GGG is a huge favorite 75/25 in my eyes.

Macklin has some size going with him, so if he tried to crowd GGG earlier and impose his size and drain GGG a bit, it may help in the later rounds. Macklin strikes me as a guy that's pride is sometimes to big for his own good, what I mean is when he gets tagged by GGG he may want to throw back immediately which will open himself up.

As Furey mentioned if Mack rides with a high guard and smothers GGG he has a better shot, if he exchanges with GGG I don't like his chances at all.

Mac strikes me as a gladiator proud to come home on his shield...with a re-telling over a pint in a pub till he's old 'n grey.

I think he will do better than everyone is thinking infact i believe he has a chance of stopping this guy in the later rounds , its gonna be explosive , cant wait !

With Macklin's style of fighting, it's really hard to give him a chance. He's going to go in there and force the fight against a better boxer, who hits like a train, has murderous body-punches and is very accurate.

I guess he could try to force the pace and hope GGG fades badly over the second half but to do that, he's surely going to have to eat too many power-shots?

I genuinely don't know what his strategy should be, considering what type of fighter he is.

Golovkin seems like he could cut easily, so I think that would be Macklin's only chance . . .

Macklin has a better chance of walking across the grand canyon, without a tightrope, than he does to not get blasted out by GGG. I am glad they will have emergency services on hand
