Depends which Hall of Fame. The World Boxing Hall of Fame inducted McClellan back in 2007, yet strangely not Benn. If they count McClellan as Hall of Fame worthy then the man who beat him in an epic encounter should be a shoe-in.

Now, if McClellan has been inducted there because of the human interest angle of a man's life being destroyed because of damage suffered in-ring and his struggle to recover from it then the question to ask would be, why McClellan but not Watson?

It's the greatest comeback of all-time and Dr Ferdie said it was the greatest atmosphere he ever experienced, how can it not be HOF-worthy when you combine it with the rest of Benn's body of work, like defending the WBC belt nines times faster than anyone in history (as it says in the Guinness Book of World Records), winning and defending world titles in opponents HOMETOWNS (DeWitt lived in Atlantic City and Barkley lived in Vegas), etc etc?

Yeah, if McClellan had only had the brains to cheat, and deliberately spit his gumshield out twice. The fool.:roll:
