With Wlads current accomplishments taken in to consideration, along with his win over Vitali, and his many title defenses agsinst luminaries such as Davarryl Williamson, where would win(s) over Wlad put him in ATG standings?

He is already around #50 all time. Maybe bolstered him up to #40ish

Beating Wlad does not make you a ATG.

If Byrds career panned out exactly the same but with a win or 2 over Wlad I don't really think it would have added much to his legacy simply because Wlad's legacy would have been horribly damaged by a loss to Byrd who quite frankly is taylor made for Wlad.

I knew what you meant and I stand by my statement an isolated win over Wlad would have done little to Byrd's legacy if that was all he achieved.

Buster Douglas beat Tyson, Rahman beat Lewis, hell Sanders beat Wlad and none of these guys have a great legacy. It improved each fighters standing but didn't make them great. Greatness is earned over time, 1 good win along with what Byrd did achieve would not be enough to raise him much higher than he currently stands.

No chance of that, but his resume would be pretty decent. Id venture to say between 25-30. Of course we'd have to consider aether he would have won the rematch to since they fought twice. And if so this would have affected Wlads legacy greatly.

Top 10 easily. His record would be far better than say Mike Tyson and Patterson without doubt.

But beating Holyfield, Vitali, Wlad and Tua does.

Holy, the same version that Lewis beat.

    Vitali, prime

    Wlad prime

    Tua, prime

So you're saying he should rank higher than Vits all time since he has a h2h win and a far superior resume, correct?

False, although he would be if he beat Wlad.
