What exactly is a good boy?

someone who gets knock da **** out by none other than Golovking.

 

It's how Golovkin says "he's a good kid."

"He is good fighter, good boy."

 

In Russian Maladetz means strong young man, direct translation in English is boy or good boy though.

Thanks for that one Leonit, it was clear that Gennady was paying respects to Rosado's courage from his whole demeanor and tone, but nice to have a direct translation.

It's a question I've wondered about previously, but can you tell me how best to translate the 'i want/need to touch/feel him..' comments by both Kovalev and Golovkin. I'm understanding it as meaning something like, 'I want to encounter him, I want to size him up, take his measure, see what he's made of, etc' what's the Russian term they're thinking of, and how would you best translate it?

 

Haha yeah if you ever watch a fight with a Russian commentators you will hear maladetz all the time.

I think that 'feel him' is something like figure him out, see what he is capable off.
