i dont think he's overated. he is a very good fighter who leaves very little doubt to his superioriy when he fights. there is enough talent around his weight for him to prove just how good he really is. i think he beats sergio, loses to ward and goes life and death with canelo.

For a start, Nigel Benn & glass jaw don't belong in the same sentence.

Benn being so aggressive + his style meant he often got into massive tear ups which would see him throw huge shots and receive big shots in returns, his chin held up to many big shots.

Eubank could punch, Watson could bang and we all know about G-man's power.

Not saying he had a granite beard, but glass? No.

You mean the Nigel Benn that went toe to toe with MaClennan and Barkley beating them both.

In short: Unless the division's top 10 is full of Black fighters, it is weak.

I've seen Martinez mention him twice and say he will beat ggg. He wants the fight to happen to get rid of the doubt people may have.

Hate to tell you guys but Martinez will beat his ass and cut his face up. GGG is easy to hit.

Brilliant analogy, except that you are forgeting that Mack landed on Martinez with a much higher percentage than he did against the "easy to hit" GGG. GENNADY also landed on Macklin with a much higher rate than Martinez.

GGG is easy to hit if you want to trade shots, good luck with that.

Martinez will willing to trade shots with GGG and then is will just be a matter of who has the strongest skin. GGG will be the one with cuts and the fight will be stopped.

Id see GGG giving utter hell to any middleweight in history. This guy doesnt just posses p4p power, rather he has heavyweight power plus two life times worth of ring intangibles. He'd tear a prime BHOP a new *******. Now, be a good boy and start believing what your eyes are seeing.

Sure he hasn't fought any top pound for pound guys, but he's fought a few solid contenders - but he can't get the big fights because nobody wants any of that. He has won all his fights comfortably though

If you want to talk overrated, talk about Broner who's on pound for pound lists but lucky to win against Quinterero, Ponce De Leon and Malgnaggi. Plus he is the one ducking the better fighters- not them ducking him.

He has beaten B level fighters, that being said he beats them easily. When was the last time a non black Hispanic fighter was a P4P king in the non heavyweight division? This guy has a chance to be that guy.

Genady is a unique kind of fighter. Not only is he a great boxer, with a solid chin and tremendous punching power, but he is fan friendly, generally a nice guy and HE WANTS TO FIGHT TOP NAMES 5 TIMES A YEAR.

Anyone who doesn't appreciate it and doesn't love his attitude is NOT A BOXING FAN.
