Crolla to get shot at Burns.........people criticising it

This. No way Crolla deserves a world title shot

 

In fairness to Billy he's probably as pissed off as the rest of us were with the subpar defences that Ricky had under *****y, but he was hardly about to bite the hand that fed him so to speak in that situation. After joining Eddie though I have a feeling they were expecting bigger fights than Gonzalez and Crolla, and rightly so really.

That said I've met Crolla a couple of times and I'm good friends with some mates of his and I'd love nothing more than him to pull off another big upset, and I'm made up he's got the opportunity, worked him bollocks off and a nice lad to boot. Doesn't mean he should be a world title challenger right now, but he's certainly not the worst we've seen. Hell, he's probably not even the worst we've seen this year.

 

Burns would destroy crolla, he is a few levels above. Burn has become a solid world champ, unifications are what the fans want to see but if that cannot happen then an all british clash would be good for viewing figures. I also like crolla but he doesnt have much hope v burns.

 

Anthony is the nicest guy youll ever meet but anyone who thinks, for even a fraction of a second, that Anthony Crolla should be even REMOTELY close to fighting for a WORLD TITLE needs shot in the face, you are whats wrong with Boxing.

As you know it was a pure keep busy fight,but 3years on he's still an undefeated world champion so let's just say it was an ideal warm up lol
How lucky was Ant to get a rematch after taking such a beating in the first fight,I'd have thought you'd be chasing him rather than wasting your time with Ricky, but you know Joe is desperate for attention and the chance of a world title fight, well if the fight happens the first loss to Derry will seem like a walk in the park:rofl:rofl We're waiting on you!!!

This discussion wouldn't be like this if Crolla had been given the W against Derry II like he deserved. Crolla coming off 3 Ws against Farrell, Mathews and Rees would deserve a shot at Burns.

He without doubt beat Derry in the second fight. Remember when Sykes was going to face Broner? Loads of people get undeserved title shots, to make you all happier - we will call it a "stay busy" fight for Burns.

And by stay busy I mean when Crolla smashes him to pieces, Burns can stay busy by fighting 5 times in the first 5 months of 2014 re-building.
