Sorry I know this headbutting, jab and hold merchant has been done to death on here but there was one point I wanted to address. It seems a lot of his fans think because he is Linear champ (how after being so inactive god only knows) he gets to dictate the fight terms. Now correct me if I am wrong but did not all his fights during the Super 6 (when he was not linear) happen on his home turf ? Did 2 world champions not come to his backyard to fight him ? Why is it now a dirty thing to suggest he should do the same, it would be good both for his legacy and his bank balance. If he truly belives he is great he should have no hesitation to fight where he is not in a position to dictate ref ring ect. I believe although Ward is a fantastic boxer (although he does get away with a lot of crap and is very very boring to watch) he is not as good as a lot on here believe. Take away his holding tactics and he is exposed the wrong ref on the wrong night and he is getting KTFO. :good

Ward fought Froch in Atlantic City. That's like 3,000 miles from Oakland. So I wouldn't call that his backyard. Ward is willing to fight anywhere. But it has to be the right situation. He's not going to fight overseas just because Froch or some internet fans says he has to. He already beat Froch decisively. He doesn't need to fight him again. If the money is right though, Ward would certainly fight Froch in the UK.
The biggest worry for me is he will end up being the most skilled unremembered champion of this era. His inactivity and injuries mean that 90% of Ward threads are about fantasy fights and not actual fights so in many years to come if that does not change what will people really talk about apart from what ifs?

He is the champ and has earned it!! Won the super 6 and really didnt even have a close fight at all. I say he should fight Froch in the UK but he doesnt have to. lets be honest, that fight wasnt even close. Can his legacy better if he went there and won?? Maybe a little but he dominated Froch the first fight.
