Why is Manny pacquiao still fighting? Since the Cotto fight he has gotten progressively worst, looked a step slower in every fight until he got destroyed by Marquez. Now he's fighting Rios, who is a huge step down in competition. This fight means nothing to Pacquiao's legacy. In fact, manny's legacy is probably written in stone at this point. The only thing left to gain is brain damage. Why is this guy still fighting? The sad thing is that the only people close to manny who seem to be vocal about him hanging them up are his wife and mother. I guess this goes to show who really cares.

Money. Believe it or not, Manny isn't as rich as many believe. He doesn't party nearly as much as he used to be he still spends waaaaaay too much money.

Anyone notice that his decline started when he became a politician? When he announced that he was running for office in the Phillipines, I believe he just got worse and worse form that point on. I don't think you can be a part time boxer. You gotta dedicate your life to it fully.

This is dumb. He beat Bradley with ease, and was doing better vs Marquez than ever, before the 1 punch ko. His chin may be cracked, but he deserves the right not to be nannied by some message board twerps, like he's a shot RJJ. He certainly didn't pick an easy comeback fight

Manny hasnt really declined. he just cant hang with counterpunchers. dont u see why he only fought 3 of them the last 8 years!!! (Marquez 3 times)

Pacquiao throws wild combinations, off blance when he throws, hence the reason why Marquez outboxes him all the time. and the reason i feel that him and Roach and Arum ducked Mayweather. if u can barely hang with Marquez then of course your not gonna beat Mayweather.

People have just got to be blind. Pacquiao is still very good but he has been milked since he beat DLH. he fought a cheater in Margarito and Mosley after he lost 11-1 to Mayweather. how did u or not anybody else see what they were doing. come on.

Maybe you're not aware of standard of living differences, but Pacquiao lives in the Philippines. Pac is very rich in America; and he is Donald Trump in the Philippines.

really those are the only two. theres not many in the game at all. but you see what it took many years to give Marquez a rematch, then even a 3rd fight. he just cant hang with counterpunchers and the reason why i think the Mayweather fight didnt get made.

Hence why im saying that Pacquiao is not shot or was on a decline. hes still very good but when you fight walking punching bags like Margarito, or now Rios, how does that get u ready for anybody thats really any good?? A person Like Alavardo would give Pacquiao serious trouble. not a pure counter puncher but somebody that can do it and has good boxing abilty.

Its funny how Arum said Mike would be out the rest of the year, Pac signs to fight Rios, then Mike is coming back in october or Novemeber, Of course he is!! Mike is the way harder fight and they all know it and ducked the fight. it's a bunch of crap since Pac beat DLH. Arum is a roach and Pac doesnt have the balls to say anything.

So he fought the second best counterpuncher 4 times, and he was ducking them. Makes sense.

Rios, Alvarado, doesn't matter, both would probably beat Ortiz or Guerrero or such.

    Wow.

    I completely disagree with this.

I would pick Guerrero especially wide over either of them at WW. Ortiz you could argue would melt to their pressure/power/volume and I would say maybe I even agree with you, but Ortiz did better against top opposition than Rios or Alvarado has.

He is fighting because he wants to prove himself and he wants to leave a winner of course. Doesn't need it for any other reason.
