Comes down to how good GGG takes a light heavy weights punch and or how fast JC jaw shatters.

CHavez jr would take a brutal beating. GGG would get hit a few times which would be good for him and for him to see if he can take a good shot but this fight gets ugly.

Yes, it would be an interesting fight as Chavez Jr. is one of the few MWs with the size, strength (and durability) to make GGG fight off the backfoot.

Chavez has good chin but no chin would hold up with beating he will receive if he faces Golovkin!

No bigger JR fan on this board, but there may not be a bigger GGG fan either.

Horrible fight for JR. He needs to move up to SMW where he can fight flatfooted guys like Kessler and Oosthuizen where he can walk in and dig at their midsections.
OR....he should fight chinny guys with no balance like Quillin rather than a guy like GGG who has the best footwork in boxing, the best power in his division, and the best balance in boxing.:deal

Jnrs durable, sure, but he doesn't have anything to keep Golovkin off him.

I see a prolonged and vicious beating being administered to Jnrs body, then a finishing KO mid rounds when he's no longer able to move.

Golovkin's piston-like jab is going to do some serious damage to pothead Chavez Jr's face. GGG is a monster at the moment.

i'm not hater of jr even though he is a princess. but i said it in the chavez/froch thread and i'll say it here...the kid isnt really any good. GGG would blast him out and its not even close. jcc jr is a poor man's margarito. he can block shots with his face over a prolonged period of time. the only thing that will earn him in a GGG fight is a significantly shorter career.

and to everyone in this thread and others who say jcc jr has this mythical lhw power...that couldnt be farther from the truth. duddy and lyell saw the bell. rubio (who was ***** slapped into quitting on his stool by Pavlik) did well enough that there was talk of a rematch. he did the same thing to lee that vera already did. he lost every second of every round save the last 30 seconds against martinez. this is where his people hang their hats. they are trying to save face because jr punched a horribly spent fighter in the face in the final round of a fight they were otherwise embarassed in.

been a long morning at the office already and then i saw posts about chavez's "power" and i was set off sorry for the rant.

GGG by ko in about 7-9

I find this intriguing but although Chavez would tower over him and out weigh him tremendously, I suspect GGG could pull off the KO.
