If it wasn't for open scoring canelo would have never knew what the scorecards were and we would have had to dig down deep and fight. But this fight, when canelo is down on the cards midway through the fight and it's gut check time you will all see a look of frustration on him and a kid who is out of his league. Floyd is gonna set the tempo early and make canelo use up alot of energy and about the 6th round canelo will be breathing heavy and expect floyd to get aggressive and start landing jabs and straight rightsto canelo's body and slowly break him down round by round. I think floyd stos canelo by tko in 10.

I think it's more likely Canelo is up at the mid way point but fades after Mayweather adjusts.

Canelo isn't active enough to win rounds and floyds shots will win rounds because his shots will snap canelo's head back and they will be more eye catching to the judges.

Look! Canelo is already in deep water and he won't be up at no time in this fight. He don't know how to set traps and if he did he can't set any that Mayweather hasn't seen. If he gets aggressive Mayweather will set the traps and if he decides to fight May like he fought Trout, Mayweather is gonna trick the **** out of him. He don't have a boxers chance at all but he does have a punchers chance and it might happen but the odds is real high on that.

  5. This is very likely. Hopefully Canelo trains his asa off at Big Bear because this is a huge possibility. Unless Floyd hurts his brittle hand again then he can be in trouble.

dude he couldnt drown old ass cotto...canelo is bigger, strong, tougher, younger and MUCH quicker and explosive. Ask Austin Trout.

Floyd is going to touch the canvas early and will be on his bike after that...the judges won't reward him for it

again, floyd won't be drowning anybody.

floyd will just potshot, play it safe and get a decision. there's a reason why floydie is not listed as one of the most exciting fighters.

    i'm done watching floyd's ppv.

Yep, Canelo is one of my favourite fighters, and i can see this scenario playing out. Canelo must must must preserve his stamina, and try to last while winning rounds. If he cannot, then fighting Floyd is a bad decision. Canelo's only chance depends on his stamina, and if its not there then Floyd will likely stop him.

    Blah blah blah.

Floyd hasn't TKO'd anyone aside from Ortiz and Hatton, and Canelo won't fight as careless as midget Hatton did and forget Ortiz. The last thing Floyd will do against someone as big and fast as Canelo is push for a KO.

I don't know if I'm going to pick Canelo or Floyd to win, but past prime versions of Cotto, Mosely, and Judah all had moments against Floyd where they hurt him due to their combination of speed and power. There's no reason to believe Alvarez won't experience at least a few moments like that as well against Floyd and plenty of reasons to believe he'll give Floyd his toughest fight ever.

Canelo has been a fighter who's often fought to the level of his opposition. He has fast hands, good power, good ring IQ, uses combinations. He was never in trouble with Trout, only out worked in stretches. No way Floyd's going to route this kid. Like I said before, Floyd's going to fight cautious, he won't risk getting caught and losing his precious zero.

    No way he TKO canelo.

He's going to play it safe and get the decision.

He couldn't get a knockout last fight and also hurt his hand. So I doubt he will go for it.

You forgot about Corley in your list but anyways good point's but Canelo is taking a big leap as far opposition goes right now. Do you think his last 8 opponent's can prepare him of what he's about to face? The kid show good combination, good ring IQ, and power and I like what I see so far but I do question about his ability to stay focus for 12 rounds against a fighter that is going to give him a different look at the game right now. Does Floyd have to worry sure since the kid is younger, bigger, and stronger than Floyd and he is going to give Floyd his toughest fight (I hope). Floyd is a cautious fight since he is defense first and offense second and doesn't get caught in exchanges which I can't blame him. Anyways good points !

Nope. And if they did he wouldn't be getting the opportunity to fight Floyd. No question Alvarez lacks experience at this level, but he's still that special kind of fighter who has the qualities needed to beat Floyd.

Though with Trout he gained valuable knowledge on some of his limitations that he can definitely improve on for this fight.

Canelo was too slick for Trout don't look for excuses with the open scoring system.

what makes him special than any of Mayweather opponents? Age, Power, Weight, Skills?

I think we would never know until fight time comes and that goes with any fighter that steps in the ring to fight another opponent. We only speculate on what may happen but I like to know what makes you think Canelo is different from any other Mayweather opponents?
