edit: Original quote above said July 4th...it's actually August 4th, and the article has been updated.

It's great for Wladimir that he's a true champion. He'll probably reign for a long time yet and beat Louis both in defenses and time.

Wow anyone can do what Wlad did fighting people like Mormeck and CHambers. Lets not forget Wlad has 3 loses to average fighters. Sanders come in off the golf course and beat WLad by brutal KO. If he is so good why has he been kicked off HBO, Showtime and even espn360.com???

He's not a true champion because he hasn't beaten the no.1 in his division. Not his fault but it is what is it and the rules dont change.

Really....that may very well be true....I knew it was sometime this summer as I figured it up awhile back...but I just read this on ESPN a couple days ago, and took it at face value, I didn't do the calculations again myself.

edit: You are correct, they have updated the article to reflect August 4th, lol....

Can you image Wlad fighting a challenger with a 60-40 record or 29-10 for the world championship?

You dumb ****ers dont even understand historically what we are talking about. Wlad is accomplishing something that may never be repeated in any future era.

Amazing accomplishment as it is much harder to reign than to get a title. The commitment to being in shape and not ever having an off night as champion is something that only men like Joe Louis, Larry Holmes and now Wlad could do.
