    bowe - Golota I and II Bowe took career ending punishment in those fights and Golota ate some very hard shots also.

    Bowe vs Golota II was as brutal a fight as you'll ever see.

    Golota was in his absolute prime and beat the living (and dead) **** out of Bowe, who despite being completely ****ed had enough left to make the younger, stronger man quit.

    Riddick rightly gets a lot of **** for avoiding Lewis, but the heart he showed in that fight was ridiculous, to keep himself in there.

    I don't know how a one sided beating could be considered a brutal bout. When both guys take punishment that is a really brutal fight. Clearly Ron Lyle vs Foreman should be on the list. Tommy Morrison vs Joe Hipp.

    Jack Johnson vs Stanley Ketchel.

    This fight was supposedly dragged out with the agreement of both fighters. However, Ketchel got carried away and knocked Johnson down. BAD MISTAKE. Johnson got up off the canvas PISSED, and immediately knocked Ketchel out--along with his teeth!

    Brewster vs Liakhovich looked more like a street fight than a boxing match. It shortened both of their careers. They never recovered.
