Wlad fights in an era where someone like Tyson Fury is a contender.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Vladimir Klitschko won the gold medal back in 1996, superheavyweight division. He also won the International Amateur championships, won the world military championships, you name it. He beat all the other world pro champions except Vitali. Vlad is awesome!!! So is Vitali!!! Klitschkos are the very best!!!!!!! KlitschkooooooooooooooooOOOooOOOooOOOooOOooOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

It´s a huge achievement. Holmes never a avoided a challenge though, Wlad never fought his biggest threat.

Ali fought everyone in his era though, he didn´t have a brother helping him beating the top contenders. Eventhough i understand, that both brothers would´nt agree to fight each other, it clearly is a huge advantage that both Klitschkos hold over other ATG´s. Vitaly twice took Wladimir´s rematches and at least Sanders has a bad taste, cause stylewise he was a huge danger for someone like Wlad, who isn´t able to compete in a real war.

What really live fighters has Wlad faced ???? 20% of Lewis's resume would KO Wlad lucky to be decent amongst a barrel full of turds

Byrd was just a belt holder. Rahman, Brewster , Valeuv and Makaev were other belt holders around that time.

I was talking in relation to a previous poster who was slating the general quality of opposition in this era, I was merely pointing out that every champ from every era has faced similar or in fact much worse opposition.

The fact that Wlad and Vitali won't fight is irrelevant, and understandable anyway seeing as they are brothers. Two brothers holding both belts is an unusual situation so expect unusual things to happen such as them not fighting each other, it's just the way it is.

Wlad reign in a weak era. Holmes had 20 title defenses. Wlad still has a ways to go.

Wlad would have done much better with no Vitali around.

The years from 2005 to 2008 where really good with Emanuel Steward in his corner.

Wlad learned how to behave like a Champ and he made his rematch against Brewster.

Without Sdunek Wlad would have never lost to Sanders.

Wlad is one of the best Heavyweights of all the time.

Won olympic gold and has a long reign as a Champion.
