nobody has really talked about this. i know we got a few more months to go but this is a very interesting fight in my eyes. I think Marquez is the favorite and rightfully so. His counterpunching ability and smartness is what puts him over the top. for Bradley its his pure heart, prime, and will to win. what happens if Bradley wins?? I think he would be preety close to a superstar. of course not Mayweather status but will be well known. a win against Pacquiao (of course he didnt but its in the books and alot of exposure) exciting fight against Ruslan and a win against Marquez who just brutally KO Pacquiao!! Man sky is the limit with that. if he wins i have a feeling Mayweather will fight him soon enough. Mayweather has enought money to lure Bradley away from Top Rank for a fight. bradley would want it because that would be the only fighter left out of the top 3 p4p and WW's. Im pumped and buying tickets tommorow, CANT WAIT!!!
I think the OP already stated such. I don't think there's a chance in hell the Bradley wins, but if he does, he will put a lot of his hate behind him. Not all of it, of course. But some of it.
I think he will get more respect than hate, assuming it's a decisive victory for Bradley and not a bull****/controversial decision like the -Bradley-Pacquiao fight was.
He will be one of the more hated superstars out there. Everybody hated him before the Pac fight for "headbutting" and "punching like a girl." Everybody hated him after the Pac fight for getting the winning end of a bad decision and for technically defeating a fighter a lot of fans idolized. Everybody would hate him even more for beating a Mexican legend should he beat JMM.
hes chances are very slim but if he pulled it off that would be wild! Be #1 contender at WW for sure. would derserve fight before Khan-Alexander- or any 140 guys moving up
his resume will suck??? JMM IMO is the best mexican fighter today and is in top5-10 ATG for mexicans. he could lose to Bradley and it wouldnt matter, hes put in alot of work over the years
I think this has a chance of being another robbery. Bradley running in throwing ineffective flurries with Marquez picking his shots and landing the quality blows. But somehow Bradley will end up with the decision.
yea im not sure how thats gonna work. but thats what i mean, sky is the limit. hes not that old to folks
i've got a feeling that Bradley is going to win this in a boring fight. i can't see Bradly walking to Marquez and getting counted. i think he'll try and coax him to fight on the front foot quite a bit and use movement and counters himself. after taking somewhat of a beating against Ruslan last time out, he'll be more boxing minded. he'll not want to get into another grueling war. if he does win, i still wouldn't view him as any kind of superstar. he's far too bland to be anything close to that. the Pac win that wasn't, and a win over the most overrated fighter of the past 30 or so years who's at the end of his career isn't really much to shout about. they can hype him all they want, it still won't make him exciting to watch in the ring. he's a very good fighter with a lot of heart, but nothing more.
Oh yes he FVCKING DID. Because it says so in the record books, just like it says Paci - OW beat Marquez in the third fight when everyone and his dog knows the Mexican was blatantly robbed.
